I doubt there will be. We have signed Panzo and Doyle on loans we have rose and Mcfazdean and also Bidwell in an emergency

I’d be very surprised if we sign a centre half as it would be another young loan

Fantastic

The loan of Doyle looks strange - he’s signed to be a 5th choice centre back. I can only presume there’s no obligation involved

Not really, he know fuck all about anything that was going with his transfer. Just because O'Hare appeared appeared on stage once with tom Grennan doesn't mean he is feeding him info.

He has O'Hare on speed dial let's be honest. He's always going to know the players when he's handing them backstage tickets for gigs.

first season in brum
Godden signed for our highest fee in years. Allen, Rose, Fadz, Jobello, Marosi, Dabo, O'Hare & Walsh all bought in.

Despite the move I was confident we'd improve on our 8th place finish the previous season.

Off the pitch was depressing but at least we had a pitch.

This season it appears that all the good work of the last 5 years has reached its apex and we are now about balancing books instead of progressing. It's shit.

Ok O'Hare is feeding him info. O'Hare is not one of his best mates, Grimmer on the other hand was.

He'll know loads of the players.

There's a big difference between knowing players and being such good friends that they'll happily feed him insider information that he'll put straight on twitter under his own name. They aren't stupid enough to do that.

I don’t doubt Mr Dawkins is correct in this information to be honest

But if I was the club I’d be seething that players are leaking information to him, it’s not his place to announce player arrivals and departures

Bloody Love Dom Hyam. I'm gutted with this. He's not flashy or gets the headlines like Gyok does but for me he's been MR most trusted player and I hope to God we've pushed hard on cash here. Rose doesn't fill me with any kind of confidence, McFadz is class but 35 years old.
Agree about Hyam and Fadz. I think Rose has been in and out the side a lot. He’s mobile and a decent passer. I’m hopeful he’d improve the more he’s consistently picked.

This is the worst of all worlds.

I don't get the argument of 'at least this means we keep hold of the big 3/4'.

We need to make a big sale so we can balance the books and reinvest on other players.

Selling our sometimes captain for a pittance and then just getting his wages back in to reinvest is fucking tinpot.

Wish I just stuck with ifollow this year, if the owners can't be fucked to fund the club they need to piss off.

Rose has made 50 appearances in the last couple of years and 95 in all competitions since signing 3 years ago

I like Hyam and would be disappointed to see him go….but and it’s a big but, if it was a choice of him or Gyokeres to go, in order to balance the books, then it’s the right decision.

Interesting that it’s all doom and gloom about him going, the same centre half that some posters on here say is too slow and has a mistake in him every game.

They're not leaking it to him, he's in all likely hood doing what he has always done and bigging up himself to look more ITK than he is.

Yes the club would be seething and the players know this so aren't going to be handing over info the club wants private to the fella who gives them gig tickets.

Don't agree.

Losing Hyam and replacing with nobody or a loan is just fucking stupid squad management.

I'd hate Gyokeres to go but if it was over £10m and we signed a striker to replace him and a midfielder (for example) then it makes sense that we're progressing the squad as well as balancing the books.

He’ll know, he’s obviously friendly with some of the players

Should just keep the information to himself in my opinion

I suspect another player will have to go to be honest as whatever we receive for Hyam isn't likely to be enough to bridge the gap this season.

Perhaps it'll give the club time and they may look to sell in January, but the upfront fee received is likely only enough to make up the shortfall in cashflow from the postponed home fixtures. In order to cover operational costs as well as other liabilities, further revenue is going to have to be generated.

This next week is certainly going to be interesting.

Has it been confirmed he has gone?

Would like to think there's a replacement lined up (the duck in a row) to slot straight in.

Will wait and see what happens.

Yeah. He’s played quite a bit…as I was posting I was thinking that…but last year was in/out a fair bit and, if I remember correctly, was injured at the start of our first championship season, when Ostigard was preferred to him.
He played consistently in his first season and looked good (better than Hyam) albeit in a division below.

We need goals.

We already have a leaky defence, and we need to sell to stay afloat then Hyam goes.

I’m not happy like you are but if it’s a choice of a scorer, or a defender who at least several posters call out each week as too slow then Hyam it is.

It’s shit either way.

The only way this really makes any sense is if sisu are refusing to put the operating funds in because they are arranging a sale of the club and the new owners want the Crown Jewels in place.

Doubt it though.

Hobson's choice really. Gyokeres does look indispensable though. Only reason it would be better he went is you'd hope the fee would be high enough to at least be able to fashion a replacement.

Very true.

It’s shit really, we need new owners and investment.

I’m trying to be pragmatic, otherwise it would just depress me .
