Don't read if you don't want to talk about AT (2 Viewers)

Two people in the row behind me today, had the following conversation.

'I think we played better under Thorn. I don't get it. They seemed to be scared to play now'

The other one replied 'I know what you mean. They have no confidence now. Not sure about his tactics, but under him at least they had confidence'.

I thought to myself is this a set up by someone from skyblues talk! :)

We wouldn't be as low in the league had Thorn stayed though. Not saying he's better than Robins - but SISU fucked things up massively by putting Shaw in charge. Jokers.

They certainly didn't play with confidence under AT.

The football was 'prettier' but only in the sense we kept possession but were going round in little triangle in our own half.

That's true, however at the moment the only difference between him and Robins is having a goalscorer on fire who's head and shoulders above anyone else in the league.

The appointment of Thorn was an absolute disaster and it will take some time to get over his legacy. It highlights the shambolic way in which the club has been wrong, yet unbelievably a large number of fans decided that he was going to be our best manager since Jimmy Hill and refused to admit that he was a massive mistake. This way in which many identified with Thorn, believing he was one of us, and accepting the shite bullshit excuses and continued attempt at getting the sympathy vote says a lot about the psyche of CCFC fans. Not many others club's fans would have put up with it, and I don't know we did for so long.

dongonzalos, when do you reckon that Thorny will return to management? Maybe Leicester will get rid of Pearson now that they are not performing so well and take them up in style with the largest points total for the league? After all, this is what you claimed he could do with West Ham...

Robins has only been here for 5 minutes, it will take him a while to eradicate the destructive effects of Thorn's time in charge. Robins is also proactive, something which Thorn would never be able to comprehend.

Ask your West Ham friends, they are the bible of all football knowledge remember.

Hence the "at the moment" bit of my post...

They certainly know enough to have laughed at your suggestions, after your post about our line up within weeks of SISU taking over, I am not sure you can say anything!

Thorn is gone let it go you will feel so much better sick boy

Actually the one who will never let him go is Don. He is even having conversations with himself at the ground and relaying them back on here.

It reminds me of the politician when told that his party is unpopular says that when he has knocked on doors the mood is very different.

Thorn hadn't won a game for 6 months. No one but Don and one or two others cares less anymore.

What did you think of the match today sick boy? Did you hear any negative comments where you were sat?

Nowhere near as many as after the Bury game. For once our fans started to show some emotion then. I guess your two "friends" behind you didn't go that day.;)

I was asking Sick boy if he heard anything Grendel, but feel free to answer for him, you both do seem to have similar views on things.

Not sure about those two I was sitting in different area today. But by the nature of their comment I don't think they were impressed against Bury but are shocked things have got worse.

Yep just like those politicians who quote those "people" on the doorstep who say things totally different to the mood of the nation - just to suit their argument.

It is hard to get over his contribution of damage that he has done to the club I support.

Shut up for God's sake. You make it sounds like he deliberately made us shit. Look at the owners' contribution which was far more damaging - and still continues.

Robins is the man to bring stability back to the club but it will take time. All fans go to watch City to see them win & with Robins we are doing that a lot more than we have been doing for the last 18 months under AT
But come rain or shine PUSB forever

Dulieu/Fisher/Waggott are more to blame for hiring and then keeping the idiot in charge than he is for taking their money.

Thorn was a kid in a candy shop, where instead of 4 Wonka Bars he plonked for a bag full sour lemons instead.

Thorn was a fall guy. He was put in place by SISU because he cost them nothing and they had him completely under their control. When players needed to be sold - they went.

At the moment they are allowing Robins to do his job but what happens in January when we need to raise funds? Is there anyone left on the books we could sell?
