Frank Lampard really has been a breath of fresh air so far, and I think we've benefited a lot from the coaches that he's come with as well.
Even if we don't make the play offs this year, we appear to be going in the right direction for next season.
I personally don't yet really feel as much of a connection with him as I did with the Mark Robins, but that's no fault of Frank to be fair, and more I think I can't help but still see him as a big name global superstar ("Frank Lampard's Coventry City", etc).
Got a feeling he won't be with us as long as Robins was (don't think Doug King will either), but if he leaves us sitting in the Premier League, fine by me!
There was more to it than poor form I agree, but there was lies chucked in there and an attempt to portray that Robins could only survive with AV and his bibs and cones. Clearly MR was going through a tough time personally with bereavement too.
Lampard has started really well, credit to him. But we haven’t made the play offs or the play off final yet. Robins delivered a PO Final and a Semi Final of the FA Cup when asked for a cup run. I would wait until May to see where we finish before making a conclusion. We have got picked apart by teams with a bit of quality like Leeds and Ipswich and it’s quality teams we’ll need to beat in the big moments. The ‘deck’ we’ve got is still behind the 2023 PO Final team IMO.
Lampard is definitely heading in the right direction but let’s get there first.
In all probability it will be a very long time before we have another manager who's here as long as Robins.
I think the 3rd longest serving manager in the country is now on 6 years
Managers lasting more than 3 years at the same Club are pretty rare
I'll judge Frank Lampard next season, this season, the squad of players are all Mark Robins, with the exception being Matty Grimes.
He's doing a cracking job.
And I can't see there being a massive churn of players close season.
Ìs there a néed for it?
Regardless of if he should have set it or not it still doesn't mean fans should have held on to it so much. They did so as it was a stick to hit king with rather than an indication lampard wasn't gonna do well if people are honest.Agenda crew?
King set an arbitrary target that wasn't met.
It was an error on his part.
The fact it wasn't met yet the team has gone on to thrive shows it was an error. Its not the first time he's made a rod for people's backs with these sort of statements.
Fortunately he's out the limelight now which is where all football chairmen and women should be.
Dean Austin"s mate, Dean Austin's.I'll judge Frank Lampard next season, this season, the squad of players are all Mark Robins, with the exception being Matty Grimes.
Did he get it wrong though? A great goal and a mistake. If they didn't happen we would have won and he would have done the right thing.Lampard isn't above criticism or pointing out things he has got wrong. (Norwich was one I think).
There are a couple of people on here who are fucking obsessed with him though and can tell it's hurting them we are doing well. So yeah, they should fuck off and watch Stoke(The "Lampard doesn't care about CCFC at all" rant was hilarious)

Fine lines. A manager makes a change. It works or it doesn't.In that case he did because he should have changed it up instead of watching BTA give the ball away any time it came near him and the pressure back on us.

No he isn't. But putting fresh legs on when there wasn't much to choose from?He isn't above criticism for stuff like that and discussion about it, that was my point.

I get the first point but just because he shouldn't have done it doesnt means fans couldn't think for themselves still.Well they wouldn't have been able to use it as a stick if he hadn't of conjured it up!
And your initial response was to someone posting a resurfaced tweet from a Championship podcast not a CCFC one so I doubt they had agenda, but that just shows how stuff like this gains traction.

To be fair, the Championship podcasts often just talk utter shit. Nearly as bad as the cov ones who just copy and paste and add emojis.
No chance. Will judge Lampard this season. If he didn't manage to turn things around this season he would have been called shite. He has done an amazing job so far. He won't get everything right but will deserve a bit of slack after what he's done for us.So people will judge Lampard next season because this is Robins’ squad of players that he was no longer getting a tune out of… for quite a while as well

he might be adding Stoke relegated to his cv.End of the day , if lampard leaves this club with half the admiration and the legacy that mark has then he will have done well and that benefits us all .
Why people feel the need to compare the 2 is beyond me ... mark Robins doesn't need to be defended here because his achievements are in black and white
Took us on in bad times
2 promotions
1 checkatrade trophy win
1 fa cup semi final
6 years of continued progression
1 playoff final defeat
Some of this whilst groundsharing
One of our greatest , Full stop
All we are doing is arguing for no reason
What he does at stoke means absolutely nothing to me , he gave me really good years at my club which is all I care abouthe might be adding Stoke relegated to his cv.
He might take them up next season.he might be adding Stoke relegated to his cv.
Oh, the agenda crew loved it. Lapping it up and saying Doug was a twat and how right they were about him. Now they post trying to backtrack and make out their posts were taken out of context.I pointed it out at the time how silly it was but the agenda crew was in full force at this point. Funny that they had no idea they were about to crumble and eat humble pie very soon.
If it helps I still think dougs a twat , but not everybody will like an ownerOh, the agenda crew loved it. Lapping it up and saying Doug was a twat and how right they were about him. Now they post trying to backtrack and make out their posts were taken out of context.
