Interesting comment about crowds - happy that crowds have been up, (obviously), sold out arena 3 times this season, "but if we get 20k turning up that aren't bothered" we'll have to start scaling things back again..." Or words to that affect....

Subliminal message that we need to keep getting our backsides up there to sustain a bigger budget/possible signing of players!!

Scaling things back? He hasnt spent anything yet, he has re-invested. How can we scale back further?

He always comes across in a calm reasoned manner.
Think he is similar to Simon Jordan, who I think gives clear examples of why certain things are done.

Not having a go at King btw, but we are in profit in terms of player sales v player purchases so not sure what he means by scaling back unless he means wages wise, but we are 17th lowest budget in the league wages wise.

We won’t be 17th this season and the business runs at a loss. It needs material upside in transfers to offset that.

Scaling back is easy, reinvest less in transfers, pay less in wages, remove the backroom roles he’s put in, let Ryton decay, etc etc

I thought his comment about 20,000 was spot on. If we want to be a top end championship team or beyond we need revenue streams that help support that.

I also thought his dig at Leicester and Leeds was well judged ….

If we've been making a loss and crowds slip back again, then we won't be able to improve, or will have to scale back. Not that difficult to understand, as assume DK doesn't want us putting ourselves in financial difficulty.

Imagine them having that chat with Seppala, would've been like something from one flew over the cuckoos nest

For anyone that didn’t hear, he said he was gutted he didn’t give Hamer the money he wanted as he was desperate to stay in the championship. Also said Lawrence was adamant he wanted to stay in Coventry, totally against moving to the shithole Atlanta…but again wouldn’t pay him enough.

Brekalo still of interest and wasn’t aware of Al-Hamadi moving to Ipswich. Agreed that Dasilva is shite.

Refreshingly honest.

17th lowest? You're making that up no? £17m wage bill this season, and we still lose half a million a month, so player sales have to cover that to an extent, even allowing for increased commercial revenues.

Steep learning curve . I've known about the Hamer situation. Could be an interesting summer transfer window

I always think he comes across well. A welcome change from some of the basket cases we have had in the past representing the club owners/management.
