Because the seller doesn’t typically show up in these kinds of press releases. I know SISU are keeping a stake, but what is including a quote from her supposed to signify?
Her quote seems to acknowledge somebody else is needed to take things forward so maybe suppose to reassure fans and suggest SISU will be hands off from now. Possibly to put some distance between her and Doug as there’s the theory he’s a stooge.

I’ve no idea. I don’t know whether to feel pleased or not. In the back of my mind I can’t help but think we’re in for a rent dispute with Fraisers.

In every transaction I've been involved with, the seller has always been quoted in the press release.

Song for Doug King:

You have got such lovely hair,
We will follow you anywhere,
Now the takeover's reached completion,
Will we be sponsored by grecian?
When we watch the city play,
We'll use products by Tresseme,
If your bald do not despair,
The clubs shops selling syrups,
Made out of Dougs hair.

I think it's a winner.

Is that to the tune of the Go Compare advert? I can't get it out of my head now!

Confirmed. Let’s give King a chance yeah? Trust him until proven otherwise.

On face value we are debt free and in less need to sell players compared to not being taken over.

Im feeling optimistic.
Another body in. Let’s make a couple of permanents now.

Unfortunately there's no proof that any of that is true. I think fans are right to air on the side of caution with regards to King's comments. There's nothing really to suggest that it simply won't be BAU at the club and we'll simply continue to tread water year on year, just under a new face.

As they say words are cheap.

that’s why I said face value. We never know the full truth but as a majority holder we need to give him a chance.

to be honest the negativity and soul searching on statements made is annoying.

I swear some people look for problems in the hope of finding problems.

Great news for the club hopefully we can kick on now. First port of call is get through Jan with 2/3 more solid signings on top of the young wing backs. Then look to get a ground deal done after jan.

Hopefully we can look forward to a more optimistic future.

Yeah, I'm not sure King will really make that much of a difference. No idea how much he might be willing (or able) to put in for transfers etc. but I can't believe it'd be a great deal. But it's hardly likely to be less than it was before.

At least we can now categorically say Gyok isn't leaving...
Can we though!!???

Well I bet the doubters wont shut up? Just find a new angle.

But takeover complete. I still think investment will be modest but I dont necessarilly see that as a bad thing? Live within your means and enjoy it. The Premier League is a money pit where you can bankrupt your club and still get spanked every week.

Bloody hell glass half empty or what!!! And when a rent deal is agreed it will be too short and when it’s extended it will be something else bloomin eck

Where’s the sense in frasers pricing the football club out of the ground.

Fundamentally his comments will be scrutinised though. No owner or stakeholder is immune from that due to the position they're in and ultimately they have to be held accountable for what they say and what they do.

Some of his comments have posed more questions than they provide answers as well. In particular no sales in Jan and the club now being debt free.

Not saying this is you but accepting what is essentially a strangers word on vital club matters before he's even stepped in the building in an official capacity would be incredibly naive.

Is it just me, but i find it hard to believe this 'debt free' claim...we've certainly heard that before from Ransom, and that turned out to be horse shit.
Most football club owners load clubs with debt, to reduce any taxes owing...which is sensible.
Maybe King will keep the debt at one of his profitable companies to lessen the tax there, as it's super unlikely we will be making any profits ??
