Not sure. I'd imagine the EFL would put a definitive timeline in place for a return back to the city almost certainly so really it'd be a futile exercise on SISU's part.

SISU have ultimately lost. Probably said when Wasps took over the last but genuinely I think there's no real return from this.
They always find a way to come back, though!

(btw, welcome 'back'. I'd seen you'd disappeared for a month or two)

If the EFL had a backbone they should declare if CCFC want to move to a temporary home because of all this shite then they should remove the Golden Share from the Club if they do move!

And then Coventry doesn't have a league football team for years, definitely.

Another theory....... bare with!

Sisu could throw some funds into the squad between now and the end of the season, get us promoted via the playoffs
Then use the premier league cash to fund the new stadium at Warwick uni.
Thus leaving MA the owner of an empty football stadium with no tenants.

Standing back:

It cost £1m (plus vat) to buy a stadium that cost £115m for £15m.

Argue the value all you like - £30m whatever, don’t care but we will never build another CBS for £15m. It’s a steal.

It’s the worst £1m Joy never spent.
The stadium may have cost £115m to build, but a lot of it was clearance of contaminated land etc. and it was never worth remotely as much as that. Hence the mountains of debt it's been saddled with ever since, and the unseemly spectacle of everyone trying to push the debts onto somebody else.

Maybe the bondholders, with their naive investment, have taken the hit and finally made it possible to move forward profitably?

Either MA's lot buy out CCFC asap or

MA's lot put their foot on CCFCs owners throats (affecting us for the duration) until our owners submit, with our value probably lower due to having been forced to sell off our crown jewels and the team having suffered accordingly.
Does MA have a financial interest in bums on seats? Or just the total rent?

I think the question now is how much damage is going to be done on their way out.

Would anyone bet against another move? We all know that the EFL would allow it, just needs SISU to say there's no other option so its move or no more club.
Can't see the EFL allowing it this time, we have 8 years left of a lease on the CBS, if SISU decided to move us I would warrant that the EFL would look to take the golden share off of them

It would depend if that exact lease stays in place on the same terms.

Ideally yeah.

The thing is, would people be happy for him to distress the club as much as possible to get it cheap?
That's the thing isn't it - that would make him as terrible a potential owner as SISU, prepared to sacrifice the club for his own ends.

I honestly hope he does...
Surely now, the best hope for the club, rather than possibly being at loggerheads with new landlords, is to see what Ashley has to say...
Now that the debt is allegedly off the club must increase potential deal as will be solely for asset's?
