Doug King Takeover (7 Viewers)

Sepalla isn’t an officer of the club, as far as I know only Boddy and Fisher are.

Either way, unless anything happens with King, its still sisu 100% ownership, and we all know that if a big money offer comes in they wont say no

Do sisu actually own or ever owned any part of the club or is it their investors perhaps that’s where the 15% has come from, someone on here might tell us, one thing that’s looking obvious is sisu or their investors want out, and there looks to be some who want in hopefully.

If we dont have proper funds in Jan, Vik goes

And tbh we would be mad not too

We brought him for 1 million. If we can get 15 plus and invest even 6 or 7 of that into the squad then surely MR will.opt for that no?

They admit they have zero investment funds to put in so are not in much of a bargaining position

We’d have to sell cheaper and I wouldn’t be expecting anything other than wages going in

Do we not think that even if the takeover doesn't go through Joy would take a bit of a risk in trying to get us promoted this season?

We are currently in top 6 on PPG going into Jan. The risk could well be worth the reward. If we then don't get promoted Vik would still go for a large amount in the summer.

We are only a couple of loans away at the back from being capable to challenge for top 6 come the end of the season.

I guess it all comes down to cash flow again and whether we have got the money or Joy has got the money to see us through. If not then I suppose there will be no choice but to let him go

this supports what hagrid was saying about King trying to raise funds to buy the club, is this where the deal fails and MA steps in with a low ball offer which sisu have to accept?

they don’t have to they can sell players

That would require her to have some cash which I don’t think she does.

Sure I read somewhere she is technically one of the richest owners in the championship. Guess it's all tied up in assets/companies then if that's the case?

I think before the last 3 months I'd agree. But Joy has shown her hand by engaging with Storey and King. They want out now.

So do they take a bit of cash out with player sales and still be burdened with the club (with lower quality players again)

Or, do they say enough is enough and take the offer.

I'm scratching my head as to how we've managed to end up in a seemingly bigger mess than we were in a few months ago.

The 10 year deal gone, a tenant to a group that could be potentially buying a rival club and a bearded grifter hanging round the club like a bad smell.

As for the Doug King takeover, I was always sceptical it would happen.

The king takeover has always looked suspicious

Why would he only acquire 85% and what money is actually changing hands

Did anyone else hear the chant of “There’s only one Mike Ashley” from the WBA fans last night? When even they’re taking the piss about it….

Sheffield United apparently but I couldn't see anything about it.

Apparently a few twitter posts yesterday from Blades fans.

I doubt that very much. MA buys distressed assets, he won’t pay the money needed for a club with a squad like theirs, a stadium and sitting pretty in the automatics.

Are Sheff Utd even for sale? Would seem pretty bad business selling when they look pretty nailed on for promotion.

There's never been any mention of MA buying the club, it's all come from fan speculation and wishful thinking.

I'm not saying it's true - only from what I saw on here yesterday.

And yep, I think they are for sale from what I could see online.

I agree that's the likely reality but I don't agree it would be the best decision. I still think he's worth a lot more than that, certainly to us. We're on course for driving into play off positions and we genuinely look like we can beat anyone in this league, and not by fluke. A little bit of investment now on top of what we have to bolster depth, keep the big 3, and with momentum we have then I believe we can actually go up this season.

Getting new players to replace Vik is great but they can take time to bed in and get used to the system and it could be March by time they're up to speed.

If the deal is close to the line, would Sisu want to sell anyone? I'm not sure they would tbh. King would instantly want to renegotiate the price, causing further delays and expense.

They might have to, of course. If they'd even consider Storey as a buyer then they're either mad (possible!) or desperate!

The Sheff Utd owner has accepted an offer but the bidder hadn't been disclosed. It's with the EFL for approval
