Was that 100% down to him as i said he had others breathing down his neck and the would be Hyam replacement didn’t happen. I’m not saying he’s the bees knees but he had a number of difficult situations to work with.

He saw fit to lie about it to Pete and claim it wasn’t done purely because of cash flow problems

Had a thankless job though, had hardly any staff not sure if he even had an office half the time, had to put up with Fisher and sisu breathing down his neck and then there were the Wasp lot, that Wasp ceo was as big a prick as Fisher not to mention the move to St. Andrews, can’t have been easy.
Why is Boddy not connected to SISU but Fisher is?

The whole commercial operation is a disaster. Wherever he goes it’s a train wreck

His CV before coming here was that of a rank amateur and he’s done nothing since to suggest otherwise. He represents the lower league mentality still rife at the club in the non footballing department

50/50 for me, Boddy has obviously had difficult circumstances to work in, but for me he needs to be moved on aswell. The slate needs to be wiped clean with a fresh start. We need to start having a more Elite mentality behind the scenes if we’re going to progress.

Unless King is prepared to do hands on negotiating it’s absurd to believe Boddy is capable of negotiating the FG lease

The best ever 10 year lease with wasps was worthless and his best in class 10 year lease at Newport May make the homeless soon

Admit he has a let’s say an iffy background, a disaster at Worcester and I’m not saying we can’t do better than him but in fairness it must have been difficult for anyone working for sisu and with Wasps in the background

Newport? He screwed 2 other non league clubs before Worcester as well - he has no experience or gravitas. He’s a commercial manager at best and looking at our performance in that area he’s not good at that either

I know an ex Swindon , Cheltenham and Worcester player. He knows Boddy very well in a working capacity. He said he's a nice enough fella but he thought he would be well out of his depth with the Cov job and surprised he was offered it in the first place.

Fisher was clearly a slick and slimy figure but also clearly not an idiot. Boddy is a League 2 at best chancer who by pure luck has found himself running a second tier club.

We need rid

Then you need someone who’s not an amateur running the show. You know you have owners who refuse to provide extra funding so you need someone very able at bringing in extra capital from other means.

Even then if you need a player sale fast, we were in the last week of the transfer window and he somehow turned that into a deflated fee. When 99% of the time fees go up at that time, not down

I think Boddy was offered the job as an easy yes man to manipulate - he's in a job above his level so he's hardly going to be issuing ultimatums

Poor Chris Anderson thought he had power and autonomy as CEO - didn’t last long and Boddy was just Seppalas ventriloquist dummy

Sisu would have made that decision based on cashflow at the time, the pitch costs and the fact they didnt want to put real cash in. Are you suggesting he made all the financial decisions

SISU told him they refused or couldn’t provide anything extra to help the cash flow problem, so he had to sort it himself. How he went about that was up to him and he chose to phone Blackburn, who wanted Hyam earlier in the window, to offer the player at a basement price if it were paid all in one go.

£1.4 million

So how else was he supposed to fix the lack of funding issue if that was his only option? You would have been pissed if we had a points deduction for an unfit pitch. I am not defending him but the options he has had were always shit due to SISU controlling the cash flow.

People on social media wanting ticket prices slashed etc to try and get "stayaways" to the games. Why? How did that work for Wasps?

I hope King comes in and maximises every revenue stream we have.
Of course I want the club to be profitable and healthy, but I personally don’t care if a multi-millionaire loses money because he temporarily makes the club more accessible to ordinary fans.

It would be the club losing money.

If it's a case of reducing prices but ensuring that more people are through the doors then happy days. There has to be an uptake of people.

Let's face it, if people have said they are staying away because "SISU" then there will just be another excuse. There isn't going to be a sudden sell out because of it.

At best he's nothing more than a L2 commercial manager. The commercial strategy at the club has been embarrassing and utterly shambolic and he's done nothing of note to improve it during his tenure here.

It's frankly incredible it's only until recently fans were taking notice of this.

I don't get that, it loses no money if a cheaper ticket attracts somebody who wouldn't have otherwise attended. I think the average gate is already pretty much at its ceiling so anything on top is a bonus.

What if he offers every City fan a free pint, as some have suggested? Are you going to run around the concourse frantically telling people to stop costing the club F&B revenue?

If he's paying out of his wallet on his card then fair enough.

We are on about CCFC ticket prices though?

It's a false economy. Most people who attend fixtures consistently will usually pay full price regardless.

At most cheaper tickets would add a couple/few thousand to the gates. And the novelty would wear off pretty quick.

Slashing ticket prices for all would result in the club losing money though because the vast majority that would've gone/paid full price regardless would suddenly be benefitting from cheaper tickets.

The key to attracting more fans will always start with the product on the pitch.

One thing, of many, the club is piss poor at is contacting people who no longer go. I've gone from being a season ticket holder to not being able to attend games. Not one call too see why or an offer of a cheap / free ticket

Fair enough my non-attendance is due to having to deal with family stuff so even if they offered something I couldn't go but there must be plenty of people on the database who just don't go anymore and could be persuaded back

Its a very basic thing to do and if they're missing things like that there's no chance they're sorting out much else

He owns CCFC now, he can absorb the costs if he wants to. If you want him to make as much money as possible out of it - even if it comes at fans’ expense - then that’s fine, but it’s not my priority.

Why? The person made the choice to pay at that price

So it is OK for the Norwich game to have charged fans £33 but now turn round and say it's £20 now actually? You know people will be demanding a refund of the £13.

Not sure where away fans stand and if they have to be offered the same pricing?
