They had 330 seats before and May felt the need to hold an election to get a better majority in order to get everything through.
As it stands Corbyn can't form a coalition without a General Election and he isn't getting one unless there is a no confidence vote or the Tory leader announces an election.
650 seats, 643 after discounting Sinn Fien, which makes 322 MPs a majority. Add up Labour 262, SNP 35, LD 12, Others 13-7 = 315, so a no confidence vote only carries if DUP vote for it.
Wishful thinking will not deliver anything.
