Haha. Indeed, marketing is a sly game.

If it's true, and if they take the club over and assimilate it, it's better than languishing and rotting like this; I will say this though, I hope RB will be respectful and at least keep some semblance of the team's identity. For us long-suffering faithful. If it all transpires, of course.

Definitely trying to stay neutral until there's an announcement, of sorts.

Fair play to Rumpo, he tried albeit to the wrong email but seems to be taking any stick very well. Shame the telegraph couldnt be more resourceful and actually do some digging instead of plucking stories from forums.

Interesting that RB don't seem to have ruled out the taking over Wasps and Ricoh side of the story, just the CCFC side.

Is it like I said on a different thread that they can buy Wasps and ACL for a fraction of the cost of what SISU want for a soon to be forth tier football team that don't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of?

Red Bull Coventry United anyone?

Not sure why if a 4th tier team doesn't appeal a 9th tier one would.

Regardless, how much would Wasps cost?

ACL was what? £20m all in?

Assuming anyone could convince Joy to sell (which I doubt), you'd be looking at maybe £10m for City?

So something like £50m all in for the lot?

A quick linked in check shows she's been in the job for 6 months. Sure she'd be the person to know everything going on at Red Bull.

I know what you're saying and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if SISU fell head first into a pile of shit of their own making and come out smelling of RB millions roses and yes RB has a marketing budget big enough to pay off a countries deficit but is one of the reasons they have such a large budget because they're hard nosed business people who don't take any shit? Why would they bail SISU out of their bad investment?

I read an interesting article in the Leipzig paper a couple of months ago which said that they are no longer a soft drinks company marketing soft drinks, but they have diversified into sports and media. A standard answer from marketing doesn't cover every eventuality. I don't think they are buying us at the minute though.

Like I say, I don't think Joy will ever sell. I'd expect us to get liquidated if she ever bores of us.

Just emailed Redbull at tea time and got an email from "Gaynor"! Oh you fooker I thought is she the bird from Sisu, the bird from Redbull or the bird I used to know who was feisty and trimmed her fanny but loved to bounce up and down on my hampton late at night whilst "prisoner cell block H" was on as I looked at her rusty bullet hole move up and down slowly after taking her to the Bear and Ragged Staff in Kenilworth then went home when her parents were in bed.
