EFL Stadium Vote (1 Viewer)

I’ve voted B but really if there were to be concrete plans for a stadium to be built that would probably take us over the 3 years. I’d expect the EFL to be more pragmatic in that situation.

Note: no I don’t believe a new stadium will be built.

I wonder if anybody would vote for expulsion.

As a very last resort, temporary groundshare with strict terms on a plan going forward.

The problem with B is that building a new stadium in Coventry is not entirely in our own hands. Would ccc want another stadium to exist that would compete with their best pals for concerts, naming rights etc?

While the other options would obviously be far from ideal surely only a complete idiot is going to vote to kill their own club.

I'd guess that's why it has been worded as it has. People will just read it as opposition to a groundshare.

I’m sure they will do, you still get some on here going on about it being the best way forward ffs

Cov Mad have some additional text from the EFL which makes it a bit clearer: A Request From The EFL To All Coventry City Supporters - Coventry MAD

The Sky Blue Trust met recently with the EFL to discuss the whole range of potential scenarios that may or may not occur over the next two months. At that meeting, the EFL indicated that it would welcome a formal view from the Sky Blue Trust about the club playing its matches outside of Coventry on a temporary basis should such an outcome need to be considered at some point – most likely as a last ditch alternative to expulsion.

What if 50 miles away is quicker to get to e.g. by train to MK?

Edit: I voted B - any other answer not acceptable IMHO

I voted A, on the basis that SISU won't be here forever but I want my club to be. Voting B just feels to me like a temporary stay of execution - time passes quickly, and it could be used to kill the club in 3 years time with an argument that the fans wanted it that way. C is just a waste of an option.

Edit: as someone else said, none of the options are really acceptable.

Has to be B. Although it could be interpreted as kicking the can a bit it at least puts the emphasis on us returning.

I voted B. The 50 mile bit is too far of course but it the lesser of the 3 stupid questions.
I certainly would nt get a season ticket, I did nt when we moved last time. I would go to some of the games this time. I did nt go to any at Northampton just the away games. I think all of us on SBT should vote on the survey. I certainly think we will be suprised at the amount who will vote C.

I saw option A as indefinite and an avenue to move us out of the city permanently... everyone sees things differently I guess!

I agree with you. It's just that I've worked in environments where things have been twisted to fit political ends, and that is how I see option B. That said, I'm probably overthinking it.

50 miles maybe an idea as to where we could potentially ground share, the distance between the ricoh and MK dons stadium is 54 miles....

Voted A. The hysteria about us becoming an MK Dons situation is ridiculous and even if it did happen we’d suddenly be by far the largest town without a league club and that would get rectified pretty quick. I’m willing to take the risk and fight any move if it actually happened.

using 50 miles could be a way for EFL to rig the ballot. Would 25 miles be more acceptable?

It’s. Not. Up. To. Coventry. City. Council.

(Quoted wrong post, same answer but to post before)

Voted A on the premise that B (3 years) was too short a time to build a Stadium with CCC planning permission (if only/pigs might fly).

Terrible set of choices. 50 miles!
I have no confidence that SISU will build an alternative stadium & I cannot see them selling up. Therefore, making a selection is tricky. It might be a case of voting for the least worse option & know that our fan base will shrink dramatically during our exile from the city
