Would Brighton really swap the Premier League to win the League 2 play offs and win League 1?Ridiculous sorry it’s just a bonkers argument - it’s rubbish compared to top flight football

I wouldOn the sale thing, is there a bit of money to be made in terms of celebratory scarves and shirts and merchandise, if we go up?
How many on here would buy League One Champions stuff?
That's ok - different opinions. I don't recall much joy for example under the Don Mackay era as we booted the ball into space for 90 minutes - now that was rubbish.
The style of play of this team is as good as I have seen in 40 years (we've had brief periods before of playing with style but not as consistently as this); and the turn-around on the pitch over 3 years has been remarkable.
I've celebrated our key goals just as much as I did in the Premiership years; and even more so particularly at Notts County away and in the play off final.
Watching a club is all about individual perspectives and memories; and I view our rise from L2 under very difficult circumstances off the pitch as nothing short than epic.

Our league two campaign was mediocre the and we scraped play offs. Some if the games were dire like FGR - low level football at its worst - we got lucky - you’ve pretty much admitted you can remember Notts County with a dodgy ref
Last season was mediocre until January
It’s small time club mentality that
There is little point in getting promoted then if all we want to do is see us win lots of games
Other than ground tent what bills ?Have to agree with MR. He's had a couple of weeks where the wheel seemed to come off, but by god he's turned it around.
Probably the only time I can recall wanting Villa to stop up!
We will most likely struggle to pay the bills next season and I expect MR and Body will have to negotiate wages and transfers ... however the rest of the pack may also be handicapped playing BCD for a while. Perhaps that gives us an additional few months to barter over the Ricoh?
And yet personally I’ve enjoyed this (3/4) season more than any I can remember, bar 87. Granted I’d have preferred it to be in Coventry and / or with a full ground, but still. It’s all been about the football for me, that and winning the fucking leagueI'd just like to be back in Cov with 20000+ crowds again, when you have 8000 there with 36 away fans it's a horrible football experience!
I’m sure when we fought relegation for all those years you wished we could just win some games in the third and fourth tiers. Yeah right.
I can think of at least 2 people, living in the Portsmouth area who would love such merch. On the sale thing, is there a bit of money to be made in terms of celebratory scarves and shirts and merchandise, if we go up?

And pay them a fee for a player we developed who then left on a free? Not for me. He chose to leave, he can enjoy his extended stint in league 1 (and we probably couldn’t afford his wages now anyway).I think we'll fly next season, a lot of clubs have huge unsubstantial wage budgets anyway, Having no matchday income will hurt a lot of clubs, League 1 + 2 having a max wage brought in, depending on how they enforce it, could potentially see a lot of talented players come onto the market with nowhere really to go.
Marcus Maddison will be available. I'd be tempted to go for Willis too (think we'll lack pace against Championship strikers).
For the fee we would pay Willis 1. wouldnt be a big enough upgrade on our current 3 CB's to warrant the fee and 2. Wouldn't be signed to sit on the bench.I think we'll fly next season, a lot of clubs have huge unsubstantial wage budgets anyway, Having no matchday income will hurt a lot of clubs, League 1 + 2 having a max wage brought in, depending on how they enforce it, could potentially see a lot of talented players come onto the market with nowhere really to go.

The players and staff probably love it here, but I think you need to pay them.Other than ground tent what bills ?
Especially those Marquee signings!!The players and staff probably love it here, but I think you need to pay them.
I wouldn'tI would
Does anyone reckon a decision will be made on Monday then?
Anybody who’s arguing using this is missing the point completely. Theyre not stopping promotion and the idea is to make the numbers back up.Leeds United news: EFL heading for a war that could engulf Leeds United
Where does this shot keep coming from,?
MacAnthony was touting it on the radio yesterday, as I understand it was the top 2 go up but then have an 8 team play off because it's tight between the teams competing for the playoffs. What’s this stupid idea for and 8 team play offs that I read on the oxford forum ? Any truth in it

I dunno, struck me that was just to keep posh involved in the hunt as they'd drop out of the traditional play off places under ppg. Not sure why other teams would go along with it.Where do you stop. the 11th team will moan. Cant see the top 8 voting for that. As doesn't benefit them.

As there is only 1 point separating 3rd to 8th in our league and the EFL have mentioned "innovative solutions" to finish the season, 6 or 8 team playoffs have been mentioned for League 1 to try and keep everyone happy. I think looking at the table 8 team playoffs might be a stretch as Doncaster & Ipswich are fairly cut off now. A 6 team play off would work the same way as the national league play off system. What’s this stupid idea for and 8 team play offs that I read on the oxford forum ? Any truth in it
How long is a peace of string .
I would
