Don't let it disappear just yet.. Afterall we are CCFC fans and I will buy you a drink at Tranmere if you're there
Yeah ... he's being realistic ... never had a chance really, if we'd kept Leon and Callum had stayed fit ... just maybe, but mid table and thus League one status, hopefully this time with no -10 points deduction from the outset and a top 6 can happen next year !
Correct. The decision was made by ACL to not accept the CVA, for what or who's benefit nobody has ever explained.
ACL’s motivation for rejecting the CVA was about much more than pure financial interest. Along with various other parties, ranging from Sky Blues fans and Supporters Direct through to local MPs and potential bidders, ACL was not happy with the way the administration process was run.
Accepting the CVA would have been a tacit approval of a process that few people save Sisu and the administrator had any faith in. Along with HMRC, ACL rejected the CVA.
We did so because we have significant doubts about how the process has been managed – particularly with new evidence that the administrator should have been aware of coming to light on an almost weekly basis.
Who knows what would have happened. Just to remind you ACL started the administration process off and it's cost us 20 points.
If ACL didn't file then who know's what may have happened. But the above is a stone cold fact.
I think ACL did explain their reasons, and with a reasonable degree of clarity, here...

You may not agree with why they did it, but there's your explanation for why they did it.
As to why we ended up in a position where this deduction could have happened, that's easy - our owners chose not to pay the rent.
I think that is absolutely right - avoiding relegation is a significant effort. The fear is the budget for next year and who we can sign for a packet of crisps and a star bar!
i had to google maverick, never heard of them. the look bloody nice
Can't say I remember Maverick bars. I Googled it as well but can't for the life of me recall them? I lived on Lion bars in the early 1970's when I worked at the old Morris Engines on what is now the AT7 site. I used to clock on and head straight for the vending machine and almost empty it of Lion bars! Saw me through long night shifts!
Come on James!!!...............You moderate this thread because we talk about Taxis, then promptly hijack it with fooking Maverick bars!?!?!

It was rumoured that it was 2 conditions not just the rental offer but also the dropping of the JR.

Appleton said they couldn't be included as part of the CVA, the deadline was looming and instead of accepting the CVA and negotiating the deal outside of the CVA they just rejected, the initially claimed they did it for the fans so a thorough investigation could take place, then back tracked as said they didn't agree with the Administration process.
Other than moral high ground they have gained nothing, but by giving the club 10 point deduction they gave sisu another excuse not to return.

Two points: I think you'll find it was SISU who claimed they had no visibility of any agreement which sat outside the administration process, and wouldn't entertain such.
Second point: I notice you won't answer the question - which couldn't have been framed any more concisely. And 'city4life', despite being invited too, decides to 'like' your incomplete response too, as opposed to answering either.
I think I'll get back to work; as this is a frankly astonishing level of stubbornness
Side stepping the rutting stags on this thread who want to wallow in the politics yet again (important yes, but non of you are saying anything new).
Pressley again gets it right. The play off places are probably slipping out of reach, unless we go on a 7 or 8 game run.
He is right to see this season as a building block for next season. We need to get into the top four bracket which we aren't at the moment (even if the ten points were given back). So we are a little short at the moment, but we have come a long way this season on the playing field at least.
Against County I was really disappointed with Baker (never been that convinced about him although he can have flashes of brilliance). It wasn't so much his poor performance, it was his role as captain...I saw no leadership. We are a very quiet team on the pitch.
Moussa who I do rate, was too easily marked out the game and I feel he is more effective from midfield. I think we desperately need Fleck in the middle, we are never the same without him. But I would like to see Pressley give him and Barton a go together in the middle.
Adams who often looks steady and accomplished seems to fall apart when he has a player who is happy to take him on and run at him. Confidence seems to drain from him when he has that sort of opponent.
Want to see more of the Fonz. The service he got was shocking on Saturday. He showed one or two decent flicks and touches but in areas on the pitch where it wasn't going to do any damage. Early days with the loan players.
