True, but to say it "won't" happen is false. Though, the chances are admittedly small.

tbf, a few houses and a hulking great football stadium are rather different beasts!

Well greenbelt is built on all the time. It seems rules will be broken at a whim of the planning authority.

For something that's going to create homes (such as many of the new towns that have popped up, Camborne being last one I worked on personally) or if it's going to create huge amounts of jobs (Magna park near Lutterworth for example) yes. But the chances of building a football stadium on greenbelt when there's an empty stadium in the vicinity of where the club should be playing? I doubt it.

Yes, you're probably right. But I was just pointing out that greenbelt is built on, but yeah a new stadium isn't likely to get the goahead.
