Am wondering if with todays news that the club is yet to secure funding going forward, if the Sisu vs Hoffman saga is moving to a conclusion. Surely the fact that SISU have not resolved the funding issue, filed accounts, and have postponed the appointment of a new chairman/managing director points to the fact that the takeover must be drawing to an end. Its not like the club management didn't know about the deadline for filing accounts and the fact we would once again be under a transfer embargo. Surely the negative fallout from this is something they would want to avoid. One way or the other things must be coming to a head....

God let's hope they are gone soon.

Fisher now 'refusing to rule out administration'. What a joke their ownership is.

I love the originality and creativity of your posts.

What a joke it would be if we did go into administration with these awesome investors waiting in the wings. The cynics among us may wonder if that is what they want all along.

the hugely unfortunate aspect of all of this is that we, the fans, know zilch of what our owners will do,
and, as proven, over the years, we will not be told,
we'll be given some 'bait' in a suitably anonymous form,
and then it'll be adjusted to suit their agenda,
as such we assumedly have to wait for their next diatribe,
i just hope that within the real side of the club there is a 'we shall overcome' attitude,

It'd be so nice to go into next season with new owners and no debate with takeovers and all the financial nonsense...I miss just talking about football and how good/bad we were.

We are Cov fans. It is either how bad/poor/shite we are or how bad/poor shite our opponents were. To many we are never any good. Wins are down to luck or how bad our opponents are.

No.

Wins are down to luck. Defeats are down to Thorn. It's all black or white. There are no inbetweens.

Sorry, but that has to be one of the dumbest posts of the year.

Show me where we won and on here it was said we played well. For instance we won our last game. We had 19 shots, they had 3. They were poor, we were poor, but we had players that had a good game  How much do we have to limit our opponents to and how many chances do we have to have before we have done at least OK? If our opponents come to our place to defend it makes it hard to open them up. Does that mean we played poor?

Astute you should know better.

As most know I have been posting on GMK for many, many years, and you don't get the stupid, dumb shit that's on here at times. Yes, it can be clicky and people rude and up their own arses, but you don't tend to get sweeping generalisations as you do on here. This forum is awash with sweeping generalisations and things like if you're not with me you're against me. It's all rather sad and pathetic.

I like 'many' many others say it as it is. When we played West Ham and lost there weren't many moaning. First half we played really well, 2nd half they brought on quality that changed the game. When we beat Middlesborough there was a fair bit of praise, but at the same time people were quite rightly pointing to the fact that we could have been at least 2 goals down after 20 minutes. Would you prefer we all just ignored that and just blindly only takled of the good points?

Just how many times have we played well and won anyway? Not even won that many games in total anyway have we!

When we played Burnley and failed to bring any subs on with a strong bench then of course fans are going to moan and question. When we play Blackpool and we haven't any idea of the way they were going to play, even though everyone else knew, then fans are going to moan and question. When we get an attacking midfielder in like Gardner and then play him at the base of the diamond then fans are going to moan and question.

Been plenty of praise when we get it right, lot of questioning when we get it wrong and that's exactly the way it should be.

We can do without all these inane, ridiculously over the top sweeping statements.

Really does my head in.

What I see on the whole is constructive criticism.

'To many we are never any good' is just factually incorrect and just gets peoples' backs up.

I think your point will be illustrated quite well come 5 pm today. We all expect us to lose, and given the extra stuff to happen this week, there won't be many complaints unless we get destroyed. If we come away with something, it will get the praise it deserves-and I will happily eat my words if it doesn't.

I am expecting defeat.

As long as we give it a go and don't get absolutely thumped I won't be complaining too much.

Last week against Barnsley we didn't play well but won. Think the posts on the whole accurately reflected that.

Mmmm...there is always someone making an excuse for a win. "But Middlesborough had two players sent off", "But Leeds were below form", "But Barnsley changed their formation", etc, etc.

I can't remember the last time we got "absolutely thumped" and maybe that the cause of some frustration. And last week for the first hour we didn't play well, but for the last 30 minutes, I thought we were great. Horses for courses.
