I don't get the whole thing about 'groups of death' and 'easy groups'. If you deserve to make the final round you will. If you don't because you are in a group of strong teams then it means you weren't good enough to win the competition. Having an 'easy group' will maybe get you an extra match or so but ultimately if you are good enough it won't matter.
