Certain franchise teams haven't done that well have they?
Thought it was interesting that in a Guardian vox pop, Man Utd fans were against it whilst the here today gone tomorrow after the money runs out Man City fans thought it might be a good idea.

Obviously the TV rights aren't going to go for as much.
Thats if they do bomb them out of course.
Hopefully the big 6 supporters who say they're going to chuck it get their football fix watching a smaller team.

Just looking at the Premier League without those six, it actually looks like a decent league! West Ham, Leicester, Everton and Leeds battling it out, throw in the top six of the Championship, I’d back us to make a fist of promotion in what’s left of the Championship as well.

What needs to happen is the 6 clubs are thrown out of the premier league, Spain and Italy to follow suit, then introduce a spending, salary, and stadium administration fee cap, in the domestic leagues, fuck off minimal contact fouls and VAR and we’ll have real football back in no time.

Could be one of the best moves ever for the EFL. In time, the six will just be some NFL franchises that some will tune into, some not, whilst hopefully, we get back to more of a level playing field, with clubs rising to the top off supporters money, not big interests.

Are we to conclude that if they are OK with it all is well? How about asking fans of all the rest of the football pyramid?
This must be fought tooth and nail or the game as we know it is gone.
Expel the clubs and give a 10 year ban. They can apply to rejoin English leagues in 2031.
No bans for players under contract but if they sign new contracts they get life ban from representing England.

Well I have only watched 2 City games this season.
Find it pretty poor without fans, and that piped sound is just awful.
I wouldnt pay for it.

Sounds good but the leagues will lose viewership if big 6 go. Even worse foe italy and Spain to lose their big clubs as they are already playing catch up
I would love them to get a slap on the face but I cannot see them being kicked out

I understand how bad for football this is, and it’s another sign of pure greed in the game. It’s a disgrace by people too far removed to care.
The comments about legacy fans and objective to make money regardless of consequences say it all.
It’s the right noises from UEFA/FIFA/PL, but unfortunately I think it’ll be just that - noise. I doubt they’ll follow through with any of the threats and that’s the most disappointing bit. The teams absolutely deserve to be punished, it’s a shame for the players, staff etc, but they can take action if they are that concerned (appreciate it isn’t as straight forward as that). But I fear UEFA will cave, as will the PL, and these teams will come out even better.
But as a fan who isn’t directly impacted, selfishly I’m not that bothered. Let them go, get the right people around the table and restructure how football works.

I actually think this would be more interesting than the current Premier League. Too many of the matches involving the six are pretty boring. A competitive league without them would be more interesting
