Think the only person I’ve seen in favour of it is... Stephen Bywater! Random.
I’d like to see if a couple of high profile players to drop in transfer requests to protect their international ambitions... then let’s see how they react.100% agree. It’s down to the top players and managers to stop this.
Wonder what the players think of thatSky on about sources from a board member of one of the 6 English clubs.
It’s all about making money. (I’m paraphrasing)
And they’ll be secretly pleased if their players get banned from playing for their country as it means less games played.
Even if it's stopped this time around, it will only delay the inevitable.
I read some clubs had rejected the offer. Porto, Dortmund and Munich I believe. I would have thought Ajax would have done the same, given their history in European Football. Is this superleague set at 12 or is it going to expand to include some other massive clubs. Why aren't Bayern Munich in it ? Why aren't Ajax in it. Perhaps they're put off by the 4 English clubs called Man City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea who are, quite frankly, not big enough to join any European league.

The plan is to have 15 permanent members with 5 lucky few able to join each season. The German clubs will have their fans blocking the move, others perhaps waiting to see if CCFC accept the invite.
I don’t particularly understand how the additional 5 are decided. Real lack of information around that, maybe deliberately.

Wonder if the genuine fans will set up 'Phoenix' clubs if the big six get kicked out of the league
Spurs not won a league title in 60 years and have never won the European Cup/Champions League. The last time they won a trophy was in 2008. Wigan have had more success in that timeArsenal sitting in mid table and coasting off Wenger's glories, what gives them the right to be in this club fuck knows

Just a few with better claims than some of these chancers:
Forest, two time European Cup winners
Lesta, PL winners more recently than Arsenal, Spurs, or Man Utd
Villa, 7 time top flight winners and once European Cup winners
Sheffield Wednesday, twice as many top flight titles as Spurs
Could go on and on
According to the BBC they want the Champions League to act as a qualification tournament for the super league. Pretty sure that one can be ruled out.I don’t particularly understand how the additional 5 are decided. Real lack of information around that, maybe deliberately.
Actually Everton are the most obvious along with Leeds

Would love to see Oldham, Salford, Stockport, FCUOM, & Tranmere, season ticket sales go to unprecedented levels. Would be a massive statement. It’ll never happen but would be awesome if it did.
The problem with these clubs that are joining a ESL is the fact that most of there fans support starts and ends with a search online 10 minutes before each game for a dodgy stream, a trip to sports direct once a year for the latest home & away shirts, along with following the clubs official Twitter accounts, their not real football supporters and their clubs stopped being proper football clubs many moons ago.
Best thing about that is, if they were offered a place in the super league they’d jump at it.

All respect?I think Irrespective of what happens, these 6 clubs have lost alot of respect in England
Let them go, football is all about belonging, those supposed super 6 lost there identity years ago. Coventry for example apart from moving to an out of town stadium are still basically a community club serving the City and Warwickshire, I wouldnt give a toss if we got to the PL league without the rebel clubs, I'd just as much enjoy going to Villa Park, Selhusrt Park, St James Park, Elland Rd, Carrow Rd, the Sheffield Clubs,West Ham etc, look at us in league 2 and 1 selling out Wembley, away games sold out weeks in advance, teams like Coventry are special because of the relationship with our fans who I've known for 30 years, meeting up at Southend, Cheltenham, Rochdale, Sunderland etc, that what's makes me proud to be a City fan, let the others fuck off, football will carry on, the fan bases in this country are massive and the lifeblood of most clubs.
