Personally, I’m not a fan of the new format. Just extend the tournament to have 2 new groups and the top 2 going through remains.
Portugal scraped through the group stages in 3rd with 3 draws last time and won it..... don't think they won a game in normal time until the semi final.
I think Belgium should win, I think Portugal are a poor team in reality.
Whether that happens though
We won a group people were arguing would be best had we finished second on the assumption we’d have an easy Round of 16 tie.
Had we won our group in 2010, we’d have had a real chance of reaching the final, or at least the semis. But, we didn’t. It was a similar story in 2002 apparently.
We just need to keep getting the job done against teams.

That tournament was the first one I really remember well. My primary school showed the matches before school - I think it was the 0-0 Nigeria game.

Apart from THAT goal, the one thing I remember about Brazil from that world cup was the ridiculous antics of Rivaldo to get that Turkish player sent off.

I can understand how we ended up with crappy template Nike and Puma kits in L1 and L2 but how they hell does something like that get signed off as the kit for a major tournament? Multiple people must have look at it and gone 'that's great, go with that'.Portugal are guaranteed to win at least something in these euros - the crappiest kit award.
