Watched Bournemouth today they are a decent side with Arter the main man,, Wilson was quiet but GK made a top save with the rebound being put in for the winner.. But really impressed with how they play, each player uses possession so smartly, they play with so much width,, good to watch players with control and the ability to make the right decisions and complete passes with accuracy..Also they never changed even if it when it went wrong won it back and played with the same game plan and idea with the ball, Wilson does make some nice runs and always looks for it in deep area's.. He and they will have a decent season if they can keep that squad together come Jan...

POTM award be just as much a jinx as the MOTM award. Not often our players make the short list never mind win so we'd never know for certain if it affected the immediate game after :D

I hear Pressley has called for a 'Trainer of the Month' (TOTM) award for which all of our players are on the short list. Hope it doesn't go to their heads and lead to worse 5-a side at Ryton afterwards.

I played against Christie when I played for Folly Lane he would have been about 14 he scored a hat trick in no time and was as strong as an ox, I thought he would go on and make it big time but he only really made a steady living out of the game I guess.

I played 5-a-side with the father of an ex-England international. It was impossible to get the ball off him: he scored at will. He had been at Chelsea as a kid but never made it and then worked as a programmer (his son was only 12 or so at the time - he is now his son's agent).
I think that we all tend to underestimate how much better professional players are than us.

i played against a nuneaton borough player in 5-a-side when i was 17 and it was a similar story....made me realise i wasnt ever going to be the next maradona :( i tried kicking the shit out of him in the end, and i just bounced off him :(

Played with/against Bigirimana at school, he never lost the ball the entire time and once skinned the whole team and scored whilst playing in goal..also played against another Cov kid, Marcus Harness (now plays for Burton) in a sixth form v year 11 game..he skinned me once so i took him out with the cleanest slide tackle I've ever done and had him in my back pocket for the rest of the game

If a goalkeeper's going on mazy runs I think it's good we sent him off to Newcastle, that kind of tactical indiscipline can't be tolerated.

Well I recebtly played against Lee Tomlin and Callum Ball in a 5-a-side tournament and they were awesome. I did a Meg on ball and shouted city reject as he wore out training gear only for him to win it back off me, Meg me back and smash in a worldy. Tomlin missed a penalty though

Always rated Tomlin. Is he still carrying a bit of timber though?

Baker again
Anyone know how many goals and assists in how many games that is for him?

He will likely score and create more than the whole of our midfield this season m

And possibly our strikers
Although if we keep Madine and give him a partner that may change

Callum again
If Bournemouth don't go up
At this rate Callum will get snapped up for the prem.
8-10 million I would guess

I think the PL would want to see another season of him before shelling out that much. Rhodes and McCormack have been scoring for fun for a few years in the championship but not yet been snapped up.

Callum has that frightening pace though. The sort of pace a newly promoted team would risk 8 million on I think.
Personally I don't think he is ready for the prem yet. However I still think he will get snapped up. Although only if he gets another 10-13 in the second half of the season

Funny some were saying the same thing about him last season the one season wonder would never make it i the championship.

Oh well shame he wasn't with us this season, we would be near the top of the league and could have sold him for double what we got.
