Barcelona apparently keeping an eye on Gyokeres... for next summer though.

At the other end of the spectrum was reading this morning Tyler Walker has done his ankle in pre-season and could miss a minimum of three months.

Sounds good on paper that Barca are after him, but they've not got a pot to piss in. Looking to take out a loan to sign Nico Williams this summer.

I assume he’s alluding to the point when Kasey was preferred. Made sense for Robins at the time, persist with the guy who will 100% be here.

not sure it’s quite a pop, but what does he expect?

Sort of agree with him - we should have been running him into the ground when it weren’t happening - there were a lot of games O’Hare would have made a difference

"Things happened and I was took out the team". Perhaps he should've elaborated so people could make their own mind up. Nobody is entitled to be in the team every week, and a professional response to being dropped based on performances would go down a lot better than a petulant one. This interview also gives a clue as to why he chose SU. He clearly believes he should be playing every week and he wouldn't get that assurance at a higher level.

He seems absolutely buzzing to be there. Full of enthusiasm and passion.

Definitely always his ambition to end up at a fellow Championship club, under a manager with a middling to poor reputation amongst players.

Rudoni is a better fit to the forwards we have now . Palmer is in no way perfect but he looks to hit our forwards early . Callum loves a few touches , bit of a dribble before releasing the ball
I know a lot on here have argued Wright will start against Stoke but I can see EMC and Sakamoto starting

I don't get the mass outrage at this. Because he said "things happened"? He seems to be getting a load of shit now for nothing. We've no idea what's actually gone on behind the scenes, but the rumour is he actually wanted to stay, but we wouldn't give him the money he wanted so he's gone, seems fair enough. He never strung us along saying he was going to stay. Gyokeres wanted out in Jan, Hamer seemed like he was staying then left at the death, yet neither got as much grief as he's getting now.

COH was great for the club and gave his all to entertain. He seemed to enjoy his time at the club, i don't think we will ever hear him knock the fans, he respected and was adored by most of us. He in my opinion should get a warm welcome at the CBS and hope he has his worst game ever twice if not 3 times this season. Other than that wish him well, very good player and i think a decent lad that wanted a change and wanted to earn more money. Simple really.

Don't know why people.are getting upset with it. He's gone, done what's best for him. I've already forgotten him and supporting the players we have.
i just hope hamer moves somewhere semi local so we can still see him at home games 👨‍❤️‍👨

O'Hare he was hardly having a dig, he was asked to elaborate and its obvious he wasn't happy with being on the bench but didn't really go into it much.

Nobody not playing for Coventry city or visiting as a guest of the club should get a warm welcome.

Someone playing for another team should get a hostile reaction if it’s there first time here or they’ve played for us for 10 years.

We’re a football club ffs.

Generally I fully agree, but there will always be the odd exception. The one obvious one to me is Gyokeres; gave his all when he was here, almost dragged us to the Premier League and was honest re his intentions when we didn’t make it.

He moved onto bigger things and could go on to the one of the best strikers in Europe.

We were pretty lucky to have seen him play and he clearly holds us pretty close to his heart football wise (eg his leaving video, his post Middlesbrough celebrations etc).

But nobody else stands out as being in that category.

In regards to the issues at the club he's talking about, I heard it was in the changing room at half time during the WBA away game at the start of March. Robins dragged him at half time when we were 2-0 down and he didn't take to kindly to it. 'Smashed up the dressing room and ended up with bloody knuckles' was what I was told. After that game Kasey came into the team and started the next couple.

I assumed it wasn't legit info at the time, even though the source was close to COH, as I was also told Cal wouldn't play under Robins again and was brought on as a sub the next game. But him mentioning issues at the club, that haven't been alluded to on here previously, makes me think there might be legs to it.

Im not saying roll the red carpet out am i, i just think as a fanbase the reputation grows outside if you show class. Like Fadz last season, i wanted him to have a stinker, but also loved he got the reception at the end. Even the Blackburn fans made a point of talking about it. Im not saying COH should be held in the same place, but dont see why he should be blasted for making a business decision.

These are professional players and will want to perform and win, they understand it being hostile. But we truly have no reason to give him shit before or after the game.
