long way home

He may well be a good lad, I don’t know him, and my comments are about a tackle that got him immediately sent off, and I make no comment about him as a person. Your post just seemed to celebrate Kelly-Evans while totally ignoring the impact on the Gateshead player.

No, i said he was a top fella, not a top tackler. He has always played with aggression which is why Doyle signed him.. Obviously on this occasion Dion got it completely wrong and will have to deal with the backlash that could come.

As for the lad who got injured i wish him a speedy recovery. Ill find out more in a few weeks, but im sure the clubs will of been talking to each to calm the situation down.

Fair enough my friend, I don’t think we’re a million miles apart. Let’s hope the Gateshead player does make a full recovery, and that they are both able to continue their careers. Interestingly, Olley has released a classy statement today where he‘s very gracious regarding Dion, and Gateshead themselves have expressed thanks for the concern shown by Woking staff.

Awful tackle, but that also might be one of the worst kit clashes I've ever seen as well!
Not sure if it's the lighting, but it's hard to tell who's playing for who
Nasty injury, broken leg, dislocated angle and all ligaments ruptured.

Richard Keogh is new caretaker manager at Blackpool after sacking of Neil Critchley
Loved Keogh. Full blood & thunder CB. He left in 2012 which was the start of the worst 5 years in the club's history. The rot had set in many years before though.

Isn't it a prerequisite that you have to have public liability insurance in order to play? We used to in the midlands leagues

Yep we did too but it's worth fek all at grass roots level, not so sure at pro level.

I was under the Birmingham FA and spent four weeks in hospital after a similar injury, the first two you can't claim for the other 2 I got £20 a week for but only with a signed doctors note that I had to pay for!

It did also cover loss of earnings but that didn't kick in for 13 weeks. Would have still been useful if I'd eg been in the building trade so not knocking it, but with a desk job and a few workplace adjustments, I was back well before that would have benefited.

Another assist as well. If he were a year or two younger at this point I’d have fancied him as the kind of player Peterborough would pick up
Still could or a Charlton or someone closer to his home. Could definitely perform at L1 level and still only 26. Very young and raw when we had him.

Mark Mcnulty is an unused sub for Shamrock Rovers.

He should of signed the contract here when he had the chance, he's done sweet F.A. since leaving. Took the money Reading offered and effectively dropped off the footballing map.

Disagree. He knew his limitations and it was his one contract that set him up and opened other opportunities such as international recognition. Don't blame him, doubled what we offered plus signing on fee and we reinvested the fee that helped us push on.

Dan Crawley running the show with two goals to..
Tbf I think Jodi running it. One goal, two assists, a couple of times put players in with great balls and a sublime free kick delivery that should have been converted but hot the woodwork. Crowley playing well too, but one goal was handball and the other a deflection.

Why? He had a purple patch that it was unlikely he would've maintained here and chances are he would have dropped out of contention at some point anyway. Only he'd have earned less money doing so.

Or would you have preferred it being us wasting money paying him a high wage to be shit or not play?
