Watching the EFL highlights, good to see Lee Burge still banging out howlers. Jack Grimmer gave away a penalty in the same game.
Gotta love Burge. I still maintain that save he made against Newport was one of the best I’ve seen.
Interesting how he’s had a decent league career and Reice Charles-Cook hasn’t. They seemed more or less the same to me. If anything RCC seemed less calamitous.

No wonder we struggled-dossers like Burge plagued us for years partly because there was nobody else.

Vik has scored in every game since the season started, I think ( all league games, 2 x internationals and now the Champions League) Not too shabby.

For the life of me cannot get why Arsenal have not gone for him.Come the end of the season when they see Man City have won it again, they will look at their team once again and see there lack of goals has cost them.
They waste £30+ million on Stirling but don't buy a player who would improve their team immensely.

His goal last night was quality, taking 3 defenders out of play and burying it in the corner. He just needs to do it against English clubs for them to sit up and notice.

Under the new CL format he'll have 7 more games at least I think (and will face Man City, and Arsenal?) Don't think he needs to score against them, but if he plays his normal game, they'll see what he's about. They'll be watching all of his games anyway, I would have thought,.

Personally would love him to score a hattrick against Arsenal .

It's an interesting one because on paper they were last year's second top scorers with only 5 less than Man city. I don't disagree they need a top quality striker to lead the team, but I'm not sure the argument they don't score enough stacks up.

Also where have you got the 30 million fee for sterling? Aren't they only paying like 30% of his wages for the duration which I think I read was £6 million for the season which really for a player of his quality is a bargain.

Hamer in attendance tonight

his friends have been told not to give king any stick. if they do, they’ll be ejected and potentially banned from the ground

I have to agree. Most of the teams Sporting are up against in those 8 games are actually pretty mediocre in terms of quality on a European level.

It's important he puts in performances vs the likes of Leipzig, Man City and Arsenal.

Personally can’t wait to see how he gets on in those games.
