Dabo went into serious decline after his bad injury, but up to then was good for us, and outstanding at L1 level. He’s never got over that injury.

It’s not his fault we weren’t promoted, Luton outplayed us for large chunks, and he wasn’t even on the pitch for a lot of the game. And even if he’d scored his penalty we would not have been promoted.

Deeney wasn’t even referring to him in the podcast

apart from that it’s all very entertaining, crack on 😁

He was with us for four seasons. Only one was League 1 level wasn't it?

He spent a further three seasons with us. The first he was alright, the following two he was absolutely dreadful.

Like I said, he had a good first season and that clouds people's judgment even until today. He was rubbish here for the majority of his time.

‘He was injured for the majority of his time here’ might be a kinder/fairer description.

'I've never been to a Wasps game'. Let's just leave it there.

Supporting that snakey club and attacking anyone for criticising them are all the hallmarks for a winning personality. To then be too much of a pussy to admit it isn't a shock either.

Honestly, I would advise going back into hiding for another 6-9 months as a minimum.

This descent into madness quite frankly needs to be studied. Can I actually have a copy of your book? If your written material is even half as unhinged as it is on here then I'm in for a real treat.

Earlsdon, I haven't got the foggiest of what you're on about or indeed where you're going with the Wasps angle but if that's the hill you want to die on then fine.

As they say desperate people do desperate things so more than happy for you to keep banging on that drum.

Interesting you've blocked me from your posting history. Don't be embarrassed by it it's really not that bad I was joking.

You should listen more before embarrassing yourself making claims that Deeney was talking about him, and then study how penalty shootouts work before saying he is the reason we weren’t promoted.

Anyway, injury did for Dabo, he was never the same. Not sure if he was championship std ability-wise, but he looked a completely different player after he came back, sometimes a liability for us. But like I say, I’d put a chunk of that down to the injury, it can happen sometimes.

Some fond memories of Dabo, and it’s not nice to see how far he’s fallen.

Of course you don't 'have the foggiest' about what I'm talking about. Everyone who supported Wasps during that time has developed amnesia.

You don't have a lot of self awareness do you? You throw out insults, have a go at someone because they wrote a book, but then start trying to make out others are unhinged and fragile.

Honestly, log off the forum.

Two rubbish seasons out of four is a pretty fair assessment, albeit a slightly unconventional way to describe “the majority of his time”.

Embarrasing claims? You're the one trying to say Dabo was good here for a lot longer than he was.

Well done for pretending to care about him though. Total sweetheart.

You've legitimately lied by making out I have duplicate accounts and that I'm a Wasps apologist because you have no other bat to hit me with.

I'm not logging off Earlsdon I'm having far too much fun watching you crack.

Life’s too short for these kind of arguments. Also, the UK economic output has tanked since the sacking of Mark Robins, surely you all have something better to do?!

I might buy Earlsdon SB’s book if he tells us what it’s about and it’s under £10.

The first one in the Championship was also nothing spectacular. He didn't manage a single assist.

I thought he performed reasonably well in the initial step up from League One, but during that season had some blips, so I wouldn't go much further than that. Some fans behave as if he had four wonderful seasons here, which is far from the truth.

it’s Ben Sheaf’s biography, foreword by Dabo- title is “too many cucks”.

Dabo’s issue was injuries and fitness. Whether that’s on him, the medical staff or the manager we’ll never know.

Doing a character assassination on him and calling him shit is hardly fair though. I always thought he looked like he cared about the club.

I agree, and as always there are lies being told, not sure I’ve seen anyone say he had four wonderful seasons, literally nobody has said that.

Thought he did alright in that first season in the Championship myself, in a season where few players really stood out. The injuries seemed to completely torpedo his career but I’ll always have a soft spot for him thanks to that title-winning season - irrational, maybe, but it’s football innit.

Funnily enough I do actually have a copy of his first book. It may or may not have been used as toilet paper and I will not issue further comment.

anyone see ex cov manager Mark Robins Huddersfields 5th goal today against Yeovil ?

Ex Cov player Danny Ward smashes a shot from 30 odd yards out and it was completely fluffed by ex Cov Chris Dunn

Just saw this, the first post on this thread.
Quite a lots happened since then!

That's a projection of the highest order, as the only one cracking here is you.

You claimed Gyökeres should be sold for the lowest fee to the first bidder, and then didn't post for half a year+ because of it. You had a meltdown about the cost of boxes and when put in your place, also disappeared for months on end.

In the last 24 hours you went off at me about the book I wrote, made weird coments about rabies infested beavers, and spent all morning lying about watching Wasps and agreeing but not agreeing that Dabo wasn't very good at certain times.

I genuinely think you need to get a bit of fresh air as this is all a bit batshit.

Same.

Lots of people making fun, but I’m never going to write a book, unless it’s like a smutty / semi erotic novel about garden gnomes that come to life and mate with local domestic cats creating an entirely new species which is half garden gnome / half domestic short haired tabby.
@Earlsdon_Skyblue1 ,what's the book about? I'm curious.

I was actually proven right about the box issue, less than half renewed... And frankly I'm still not particularly happy with the existing offer given what I pay, but that's another matter.

I'm genuinely curious where this Wasps angle has come from? The irony in calling me a closeted Wasps fan is that I detest Rugby and don't even watch international fixtures, including the Six Nations or WC.

The last Rugby game I attended was at the Butts and I was more focused on the scoreline vs Cheltenham where we won 6-1 than the physical game I was watching.

I was just looking at the team again, he's had by far the worst subsequent career which i'm not sure i'd have called during the league 1 season. Most have had solid Championship careers which is a decent hit rate for a promoted league 1 team.
