Hi All, been a longtime e reader of this site but only decided to join today so I feel I already know most of you...lets hope for another 3 points tomorrow, and a good turn out, I'm starting to get excited but there is still a little part of me that says calm the feck down...but this time it feels different....does any one feel the same? I really want to enjoy it but the potential of this being another false dawn is taking part of the enjoyment away....I suppose this what being a Coventry supporter is all about....

We've had our spirits dented over the last few years, so caution is expected! Robins is god though, so no caution needed!!

Its only right to feel cautious, but also right to be excited as feck! The reality is we have a great chance to do somthing in the league, and very possibly go to wembley and win the JPT!!!

Thanks for the welcome, All I know is that I now can't wait for each game to be played now compared to how I felt a few months ago - It's been a long time coming for all of us, is Mark Robins the Messiah? (let's hope doesn't become a very naughty boy) :)

I know what you mean, i expect the bubble to burst but things are different now.

See with Thorn it was get your selfs a lead and lets put all 10 behind the ball and try and see out the game and sit tight. That ment crumbling under the pressure alot of the time.

With Mark Robbins i can see a different approach. We go 1-0 down and instead of the heads dropping the team roll up thier sleeves and fight for one another.

Complete turn around and i was there at MK Dons and you could feel we were going to win even when we went 2-1 down as the players were really going for it.

Hold onto your hats this season is getting interesting. PUSB.

I can't get carried away until the threat of liquidation is gone. Or the chance of playing at Hinckley. Or the threat of a 10 point deduction for non payment of football creditors (rent) subsides.

Football wise we are flying and should make playoffs, it's just all the off the field crap that's the downer.

Does rent count as a football creditor though? I thought football creditors was clubs/players/staff, not other overheads???

I was not around for the original Sky Blue Revolution with Jimmy Hill, I would love to know from any old heads on here if it feels the same, I know they had not experienced top flight ever before so it will always be different and the game is more about wealth of clubs rather than finding and developing talent, I always even during the Premiership years was a little envious that I had not experienced promotion up the leagues like they had, like many on here all I hade experienced was surviving relegation and of course winning the FA Cup, then relegation and mediocrity...MK Dons reminded me of when we took 9k to Selhurst Park to play Wimbeldon, we beat them well, I think 3-0 Nuddy 2 and Noel 1 (could be wrong) Strachen had to come over to our stand to stop us invading the pitch as the Ref threatened to cancel the game if it happened again, the atmosphere that day was fantastic.

Just checked...we won't get a points deduction for not paying the rent...ACL wouldn't be classed as a football creditor....

Wiki can be changed - why anyone would bother on such a subject is beyond me, but I do believe rent would not be seen as a football debt as it is an overhead, football debts as I understand it are relating to transfer fees, wages, VAT, not gas, electricity or rent these are more of a sundry debt that would fall outside of the FA's controls. IMO.

And this I'd why ACLU would be mad to have us wound up! They get nothing! If we are going concern they get something!

We will not get a points deduction for non payment of the agreed rent unless ACL bring.a winding up order and the club then declares it cannot pay. If we refused to pay for 10 years nothing will happen unless the demand comes.

200k a year or nothing.
Would 200k break ACL.

Would nothing mean they have to try and focus on the Ricoh having a different purpose.
