My concerns after this game are Fadz and Collins.
Both looked off it.
I think Lati was more of a concern for me than Fadz. Lost a lot of 1 v 1 duels. Fitness comes before sharpness and I suspect a few of the lads will need next week to get there fitness up.

I thought Lati was really good. He surprised me how good he was in the air.

I wouldn’t say terrible no. Just looked slightly off it. Fine margins.

Only one game but I was disappointed in what I saw from Simms and Collins. Ladibieure looked much better on the right. Burroughs looks better going forward than backwards. Palmer was a class above, as was Hamer and Sheaf. Bink's looked very comfortable.
Eccles did well in midfield. Godden's movement was excellent but should have had at least a hat trick.

I really like our back three, and I think though he’ll have our hearts in our mouths a few times Collins will give us a different dynamic building from the back, we’ll give the ball away a lot less and play further up the pitch.

I think Hamer, van Ewijk, and whoever ends up partnering Simms will be key to our forward play so not sure what we can learn there.

Liked the bit I saw of Binks as well.
Hoping you mean in the cup games?

Really disjointed upfront.

Yeah, I know it's only a friendly but Simms had a poor game, he's control and passing left a lot to be desired.

Godden just missing a yard of pace and playing spaces Simms looks like he wants to be playing. He’s still the guy you’d want taking a last minute pen or getting on the end of a half chance. I just worry our play has moved past him otherwise.

Well see. I don’t think Robins will be worrying too much based on that performance. Moore had a stinker his first pre-season but was excellent for the next 6-9 months.
I really hope Wilson is first choice. Not quite sure what he's done to deserve being replaced by him. "he's a sweeper keeper"-he looks shocking, tbf.

There were some hairy moments from the back line but all of them are very comfortable on the ball and are good passers .
Even though Simms was slightly off it today it looked like him and Godden are getting a good understanding going .
Centrally we were different class
Collins didnt fill me with confidence though
