Fan mentality on player purchases and wages (2 Viewers)

Just read the article where mark Robins has stated we couldn't afford mcnulty as his wages were beyond what we could offer.

The usual responses
1. SISU out NOPM
2. what about the Chaplin money

First of all if your not prepared to invest in your football club why are you all of a sudden shocked when they won't pay the wages.
Secondly, with parachute payments still inbound at Sunderland and an average gate of 33000, on what planet does a 1 million pound sale of a player allow us the financial stability to offer more than Sunderland??

Are our supporter actually from this planet?
Such a bizarre mentality honestly

And they are normally the ones who refuse to attend games.

If these people run their own finances in the same fashion they expect football clubs to run theirs then heaven help them.

It's infuriating. It baffles me that people don't get this. It is the sense of entitlement - this idea that we should be competing financially with a club that have sold 20,000 season tickets.

We turnover £6.5 million a year, it's peanuts, and that will fall notably this year. It's testament to the people working at the club that we manage to more or less balance the books. The fact we paid 500K for Chaplin in the first place is surprising.

To be fair, this seems a general theme with football fans now. The money isn’t real to them. They see these figures banded about and it doesn’t sink in that’s ACTUAL money.

On the side of “NOPM”... it’s blind hatred. Nothing the owners do will stop them thinking that way now I feel.

Few people who've ever taken on the responsibility of running a company or other organisation would spout this rubbish
I refer to them as entrants for the Loser Olympics

We’ve basically signed a new team and apart from Willis haven’t really lost anyone we didn’t want to.

All while we’ve slashed our income.

What do people want?

There are far to many dickheads moan moan about fuck all they no about.

Every club has them.

I 100% believe that if certain other clubs were playing outside their home city / town, they will have “moaned” considerably more than us

Not sure how that is relevant to transfers and the team?

Also the wankers have been moaning for years, even whilst we were at the Ricoh and that won't change if we go back.

Have you got summit against sentences m8 ?
See if I just edited slightly I can make a joke about a summit of a mountain. But I'm a nice person so I'm not gonna make a joke.

All fans, and ours especially, love a moan.

Football fans are never happy.

You can win 4-0 and people will find fault because we should have scored more, or someone misplaced a pass on the halfway line.

Ill informed, irrational, over emotional, unrealistic, wrong etc

i'd stop short at calling fellow ccfc fans who are being keyboard warriors "wankers". they wouldt bother if they didn't care.

Not a Penny more are the scourge of our fan base and exactly why we can't afford top class proven talent. Shame as Robins looks like the sort of manager along with our scouting network that could get us up if they had a decent budget.

Not a penny more doesn’t exist. Most people just can’t be arsed going to Brum. There’s never been any evidence of a boycott other than Sixfields.

really ?. so the couple of hundred tops who have said NOPM are the reason ?.

Not us having a stadium with 365 revenues, an unsupoortive council, the several thousand who won't go to birmingham for various reasons, the owners who wont build a stadium

its the vocal handful who have said they won't go to home games 4 years ago

No it's a combination of all of those things. The Trust have not helped either with their negative rhetoric.
If the media, fans etc were positive about making the best of going to st Andrews no question more fans would be going. Negativity breeds negativity.
