Maybe SISU hire actors to ask questions that are nothing to do with what we want to talk about to avoid answering decent questions?

ive just got back from it, was lots of hands up and not enough questions, clouting had no answers waste of my evening to be honest.

have a lot of time and respect for Andy Thorn, guy trying to do a job on a tightrope with his arms tied round his back

Think the whole room felt genuinely for Andy - been fucked over.
Clouting dodged every question regarding player transfers ie - andy has a budget and is responsible for it - the guy is a grade A tosser who knows jack about football

The problem Ranson had, was that we didn't really know how much he was involved with SISU. When people hated SISU, they hated Ranson aswell because they thought he was part of it all. Turns out the SISU :jerkit: fucked him over aswell.

He plays well under Thorn for 10 games or so, earns a new contract then plays like dung again. Maybe just a coincidence but it is a possibility that Bell thinks he can relax on his new contract now, before he was effectively playing for his future. It is a possibility hence the maybe.

More than likely though he is just terrible in general and at the end of last season was a purple patch.

Why the fuck do we need a statue of Oggie the fucker still haunts the place.
If we had statues for every ex player over the history of our club that has given us the same sort of service as Oggie there would be no room for cars in the car park. In my book a statue is probably the highest honour in football and Oggie doesn't come anywhere near the statue bracket.

It was a stupid question and I'm not suggesting Oggy has a statue built either, but there are many reasons why he's more important than you easily dismiss (aprt from being my favourite ever player ):

He was the keeper in our one true moment of historic glory, saved us countless times with man of the match performances and in the top league, he is loyal, he played more games for us than anyone else, worked in the backroom, ran the youth team, is goalkeeper coach, been caretaker manager and is stil there. He continues to work hard in the community, always has time for fans. He as an off field role-model, family man and deservedly known as Mr Coventry City.

Statue? No. Buut certainly more than as suggested just another ex-player.

I take 'not for sale' as meaning they're not actively offering the club around, but were an acceptable offer to come in they'd be off in a shot.

Well that's what I think. Just think they can word things in a way that sounds like the door is open. The really don't want Hoffman to get his hands on the club by all accounts. They do seem to keep bringing in new board members etc.

That seems a little baffling for a club that's not for sale but wants to sell.

As it stands SISU have not lost a single penny. They have put a lot in but in such a way that the value is preserved in their balance sheets. They will only realise a loss if they sell for anything less than they have put in. So they are somewhat safe as long as the club can live within its means - if they have a cashflow deficit of 2-2.5mio a year, the club needs to have a profit on other activities (player trade) to live within its means. If they manage to sell Turner I guess the board will take what is needed to balance the cashflow deficit for the season and give the rest to AT.

The club is not for sale as it is unrealistic anyone will want to pay off the loans 100%. And as the club is actually quite close financially to become a viable business with a future I can't see SISU sell for less.

But the losses Sisu incur on this venture as long as they are making profit and paying tax on other investments in the uk these losses can be offset against tax that they would have to give our government. So as it stands they probably haven't lost anything.

I went tonight too and mirror what's already been said. Just wanted to add to Stevo's post that the tension between Thorn and Clouting was obvious. You would have thought they had either never met or did not like each other. When Clouting gave some answers AT either bit his lip uncomfortably or tried not to smirk - looked like a bloke being taken for a ride.

Some of the questions had been entered beforehand. To be honest if you were there tonight with your hand up, you would have been asked for your question regardless of whether you had sent one in. My feelings that it was going to be completely stage managed were wide of the mark. Atmospehere was very flat, lots of heads in hands and shaking of heads. Clouting was just trying to survive the 60 minutes and was just coming out with anything he felt he could get away with. We have no money, there is some money, there may be some money....get me out of here. People did give up asking questions, what's the point - you may ask well ask your missus for her opinion.
