Could genuinely feel that one of about 5 players could be your favourite.

So who are people’s favourite current player and why?

My top 5 after the first 11 games of the season

1 - Ohare - his energy and commitment to the cause is absolutely stunning. We won’t have him too long we just have to enjoy it

2 - Hamer - His passing is just beautiful. Dream to watch. When he nails the cross field pass it’s delightful. He’s not quite quite got to the level of the first half of last season but he’s way back up there from the second half of last season

3 - Gyokeres - Quickly becoming my favourite player in the last few years. So strong, such control, dribbling ability and now adding finishing. His two goals on Saturday were absolutely class. The second one at full pelt controls with his left and flicks with his right just before the defender cleared

4 - Dabo - Looks so cool and his fitness and tackling is brilliant. I love Dabo so much.

5 - Moore - Not sure what’s happened with his passing the last 2 games. He is so calm, he catches with ease, he saves shots and gets them away from oncoming strikers. A fabulous acquisition

So anyone else’s?

Choice of many , as its so unusual for us to have so many players to like .

Mcfadzean - Bossed it in league 1 , led a young back line to the best defence in the league , and despite his age and some setbacks along the way , has shown he is a leader and IS championship quality .

Dabo - energetic , exciting , strong , charismatic .. the first of his kind at the club really and always gives it all , a proper CULT hero

O hare - yea he's missing some end product but he's so exciting..gets you up off your seat and genuinely seems to love being here ... great to watch at times

Matty godden - will forever have fond memories of him all but securing us promotion with his goals , that league 1 season was so good as a paying customer ...talented lad shame we didn't have him in his early 20s

Kelly,O’Hare,Hyam, Mc Fadz and Godden have made the step up very well from league one.
They look like they’ve been playing championship football for years so they’ll do for me!!👕⚽️😁

Ohare heart beat of the team .. must sit in an ice bath all week the amount of times he’s taken out in a game , when that first goal comes I think it will be the loudest cheer of the season

Not necessarily my favourite, or even the best, but I’m hugely impressed with Maatsen so far. For his age I struggle to think of another loaner who has just slotted in so well and looked so comfortable in the team. Personally think he’s got a big future ahead of him.

Dabo for me, didn’t get going last season due to persistent injury problems so couldn’t judge him at Championship level, but he is absolute quality and definitely Championship standard.

Do miss a tricky pacy forward. O’Hare is great but more slippery than scares the shit out of you running at pace.

Shippers 😜

In all seriousness has to be Fanky, as my real cult hero. Biggest contribution to our position though must be Gyorkores & Moore imo

I've seen hyam outmuscle and out pace players this season but I haven't seen him up close. Has he bulked up?

Gyo for me, proper no fucks given about taking on whole defences on his own even if he’s back to goal in the corner. Opposition look scared when he gets the ball and I can’t remember one of our players having that effect for a long time and certainly not at this level or higher.

O Hare - work rate incredible and ALWAYS wants the ball. Showing for it all the time and pissed when he doesn’t g

Dabo - just a tank engine isn’t he. Loves a challenge and loves pelting it down the line. I like that he has an aggressive streak in him.

Gyokeres - similar to what others have said I love that he’s like a schoolboy striker. Give him the ball and he’s just a man possessed running towards goal and taking people on. Someone mentioned that he never quite looks in complete control of the ball but it sticks with him lol.

Hamer - there was a tweet last year that summarised it quite well showing stats that put him v high up for pass completion, key passes, and fouls. A tricky little playmaker who loves kicking people

Edit - short answer is no I can’t pick one lol

Hamer or Hyam for me , often criticised on here but both play with their hearts on their sleeves . Hyams progression from an u-23 recruit in league 2 to where he is today is just incredible , and he is still improving . And Hamer is just always so positive , always looking to spray the ball around the pitch and no shy of having a pop when in range . Also has an edge to his game which all home supporters love from one of their own.
