Yeah I mean he only works hard, is really competitive, can get stuck in, good range of passing and vision, can shoot, is still young and has demonstrated all of this after moving to a new country only a few months ago. That's all really though.

He cost a million quid and hasn't done a single successful rabona assist or scored 35 goals yet so I completely understand your opinion...

One thing I can say for hype is that Chaplin was another overly hyped player that fans thought he was the next Messi, and because of said hype we made a profit on him, so in that vein, Hamer is worth £30m and should be playing in the Premier league with numerous adds.

He's mainly been used as a deeper midfielder to start with (although that appears to be changing) so I'd argue that's about 25% of his job

Fouling is part of football and regardless of what people say, can help win games. If he can do good fouling, that's another good admirable attribute (one that's been missing from our team a bit).

Basically mate, for what we paid for him, he's a fantastic player. I know there are people on here saying "he's premier league quality etc" but quite honestly, you're just as daft as them

He's been playing well up against midfielders 5 or more times his own transfer value, I'm not exactly sure what some people want to see / what their expectations are?!

Good thing about recent times is it's hard to pick a top three favourite.

Recent years I've struggled to even pick one.

Most enjoyable time supporting the club since the mid-late 90's with the added bonus of having a few successes to cheer along the way.

Kelly. I like players who stick around, and he's been here long enough to count Also nice to see players grow with the club.

Shipley - he's also grown with the club. This ain't about form / ability etc, this is favourite players, and I'll always have a soft spot for anyone from the academy who breaks through.

O'Hare. Convinced he'll be a star, he's not living up to it just yet, but he will.

Seems I like midfielders...
