For all those who listen to Planet Rock I've been compiling a Rockblock of female singers and bands to send in. I've included tracks by: Janis Joplin,Bonnie Rait,Pat Benatar,Joan Jett,P,J.Harvey, and bands like Girlschool,Runaways,Heart,The Pretenders,Chicken Shack. Any other suggestions ?

Sorry just saw You already had Heart... Some good choices BBR...
I picked Barracuda by Heart. I'll check Van Lange out as never heard of her to be honest. It's been great checking out some old stuff like Cherry Bomb by the Runaways, and I'd rather go Blind by Chicken Shack.P.J.Harvey can certainly rock !

Sure someone posted on here who'd seen them at the Lanch, was right at the front and she wasn't wearing knickers, might have been Houch.
She was some baby, can't remember her name.

Low are a band I have always really liked and the female vocalist, Mimi Parker has such a beautifully, fantastic voice.

Sounds like Houch ! Bonnie Tyler powerful voice but too many great female rockers ahead of her in my opinion. Janis Joplin still tops for me !

How about the forgotten member of Fleetwood Mac, Christine McVie. She was lead on some great tracks. Little lies, You make loving fun. etc

For Stevie Nicks, I would have gone for Rhiannon, Gold dust women or even Rooms on fire. I do like Edge of seventeen but I don't think it's even close to being one of her best.

How about Debbie Harry (Blondie)? Call me, Hanging on the telephone, Atomic.

Has no one mentioned Amy Lee? Really? By a mile one of the best and most timeless rock albums ever made.
