Life's been good by Joe Walsh
Hotel California by The Eagles...Joe Walsh once said something like 'Had I known I would be playing it almost every day for the rest of my life - I'd have made that intro a damned site easier to play'

WTF

Sorry to take it slightly off topic, but has anybody seen the charts this week.
Ed Sheeran has 9 singles listed in the Top 10 & 16 singles in the Top 20,

Official Singles Chart Top 40 | Official Charts Company
They ain't a true reflection of sales like they were years ago, though. Jeez, if you listen to summat on Spotify nowadays they stick it down as a chart success! Haven't bothered to look at the charts for years! At least since the late 90's!

Scrap that, it's not Maggie May but another one of Rod's!

Not the Killing of Georgie?
No HH, its not that one, trying to google Maggie May but they all seem to have short acoustic intro's.
I'm sure I heard a version with a long intro to it!

How could I forget the intro to Silver Machine by Hawkwind !

If you're going to go for Hawkwind, then surely the best intro would be 'Master of the Universe'. Ah, I feel old now.

Bringing it right up to date though, or at least the late seventies, I've got a thing for "Bela Lugosi's Dead" by Bauhaus - I think that's got a twenty minute intro. Or maybe it just feels that way.

You could demonstrate how cool you were by joining in with the actual singing at just the moment when it started, assuming that you hadn't fallen asleep or slashed your wrists by then. :)
