Belated greeting BN and to you BBR! Welcome to the Old Git's Club! I'll be 68 in June and looking forward to my 70th. Age is just a number, and it's true what BBR says, you do seem to get treated better with age! We now have a cracking little bungalow in Malvern after living in flats since we left Cov 11 years ago. Our choice though. We loved the Isle of Wight but it's nice to have a little place with your own garden!
Yes 67 yesterday. Very quiet day as everywhere shut, so no boozing in a pub or club. In fact haven't had a drink for 4 months, and feel good to be honest. But as soon as places open I'll be back on it no doubt. Settled in the bungalow now,get the visits from my son, step daughter, and sister, but my ex missus hasn't been yet, probably find fault anyway ! My next door neighbours are Polish but they had a drunken bust up a few months back on my front garden too, and she has left him and hes in there with just his dog now. But other than that can't complain, still breathing which helps !

I was at that fight too, Clint. Even tho he lost that evening I thought Pithie's career would pan out better.
Then again, I think you need look no further than his 'management' to realise why it didn't.
I think you were with me squire at that fight?🤔

Was there and the previous season when we recorded our first ever victory at VP, in the cup.

I was there for both these games too.....

Nearly got evicted from the ground during the 4-1 win for over-exuberance.....

Nearly got collared outside the ground while attempting to swerve the police cordon during the mayhem as I didn't wanted to be herded in the completely opposite direction to my ride home.

Possibly, Adge. We were both at that Robin Reid title defence at the skydome too. That was a bit of an anti climax as I recall.
I was there that night as well and you are right it was an anti climax and didn't he bore his way to a points win?

If memory serves me right Audley Harrison was in attendance and was booed and given loads of stick on his way to his seat.

Actually was this the same night that Andy Egan knocked his opponent out with an uppercut? Pretty sure I was on my way to the bar and missed it. Remember everyone singing "I O Egan, Egan IO".

Was a good era at that time with Pithie, Evatt, Simpson, the Payne brothers, Rutherford etc.

Yes, I remember the cat calling for AH. I also remember the massive queues for the small amount of toilets.
