Unless you're going for top 2, it's all about muddling along picking up points where you can, and then going on little runs of winning 3 out of 4 (4 out of 4 last season dragged us from the bottom to back in contention). So, 3 points from the next 2, more would be a bonus, should propel us comfortably into midtable, and one more similar run off getting into playoff contention.
On paper, the Christmas period looks like a great opportunity to do this. Portsmouth away, Plymouth & Millwall at home then Cardiff away NYD - win 3 of those and we'll be right back up there. Just need to maintain fairly average form before and after then.
Another nice little run towards the end, finish strongly and that should get us top 6. It's just about riding waves of momentum when you have them, and then scratching together as many points as you in-between these phases
