long term they cant just keep slashing budget and breaking even. starving ccfc of income will hurt sisu someday to the point they decide not worth carrying on as no potential and no longer breakeven

not that i am subscriber to nopm or anything and not that this plan is fulproof either, just think its bit silly to pretend its not gonna have an impact or is not worthwhile at all.

we are all fans that love club, and in our own ways trying to save it be that buying ST or nopm or a mix.

I don't believe they can be scared off or smoked out, they'll just adjust accordingly and if it means we drop further so be it. The only possible salvation I can see is someone making them a good enough offer.

this may be true.

which begs the other question. are people leaving to starve sisu out? or have some just had enough with no light at end of tunnel?

even more worrying?

That's the crux of it, as soon as the sponsorship and solidarity payments don't cover costs, it's bye bye coventry city and SISU will continue doing what they do with no care as to how we feel.

They won't let it hurt them. We'll just close.

and for some closing is better than 15 years of us falling into non league and semi pro leagues etc. there will be talk of phoenix clubs etc

justp laying devils advocate btw

I get you. But surely that's the reason we should be getting behind them. More fans will equal a bigger budget, but the thing is SISU will take a bigger cut - why begrudge them that if we were successful? It's Catch 22. I get the feeling that a lot of NOPM wants investment with no hope of profiting, which is completely blind - football fans of all clubs are guilty of this

I can't get behind a phoenix club and I don't think the appetite is there in the city to make it successful.

Or they get what they want... or are no longer able to get what they want.

All we've ever wanted is the owners to make a decent fist of running our Football Club. If they had I don't think anyone would begrudge them making a profit. Total mismanagement/Asset stripping from the start has put/driven us to where we are now! If they had failed, but had tried to their best ability, there wouldn't be the animosity towards them that there is today.

So now to punish them we're gonna kill our own club?

They clearly aren't the same though, are they?

CCFC going bust tomorrow isn't SISU going bust. Seppalla isn't going to lose her house and live in a box.

One question then..... If SISU and CCFC are not the same, why does Sepalla have the final word on everything that is CCFC...... Oh! I forgot, CCFC/Otium... Doesn't Sepalla/SISU/Arvo own the Football Club? Just a thought!

So that explains that CCFC is SISU and vice versa how?

They're not the same.... if coventry go bust, doesn't mean SISU do... SISU own us. As I said in a previous post - Fiat own Ferrari, doesn't make them the same

Sepalla may not lose her house but she stands to lose a lot of credibility when these losses finally crystalise !

Do you own your own home?

Yes I do, however it's not really the same.

It's just another case of you constantly picking the goalposts up and aimlessly wondering about with them.

Why is it that people keep saying NOPM because CCFC is SISU but they don't really know how or why?

Do you own a Kevin the Gerbil cuddly toy, mildly soiled after being kept by Janice all the way through growing up, yet with an air about it that an antique expert would shout 'patina' at you in a mock Brian Blessed voice, if you keep it for another 30 years?

i think the issue is that noone beleives that sisu will use high attendences to benefit the club.

we have been relegated twice. both times they have kept shit managers on too long and downgraded the squad. some idiots will blame mowbray etc but it seems apparent that great resources not given.

also how many times have sisu lied about where the budget stands? in one season i remember top 8, 10 and then lower midtable! and this is from TF not fans on message boards etc

there is no trust now unfortuntley.

i want them out, but i am also happy about doyle coming back, the possible return of baker, bigi signing a new contract and us buying the next jamie vardy.

i think match package will be my best bet. in the middle. hopefully we have a great season and can start to build something with or without sisu

When people mention the NOPM brigade, why do they deliberately miss out everything SISU has achieved for this club to warrant a good enough reason for fans to stay away? Are people really oblivious to the never ending damage they've caused this club? Also why didn't the budget increase 2 years ago when crowds were higher than average? Does that not dispel the myth that better crowds equate to bigger budget? When in the 10 years they've been here have SISU increased the budget set for the club?

Erm, it's been mentioned because of the post that started it off...

I think the point is targeting the (albeit sometimes shouty) minority who think not going is a way to removing SISU.

Not going because SISU's inaept stewardship has made it impossible to enjoy the whole experience, or because of a general principle against commercialisation of football or whatever, is absolutely fine.

Most of us do the latter, after all!
