Duo Warned For Failing To File Accounts

Coventry City Football Club Ltd Directors Tim Fisher and Mark Labovitich have been told they could face criminal charges for failing to supply the accounts of CCFC Ltd and possible charges of conspiracy to defraud.

This comes following an early day motion to parliament from Coventry MP Bob Ainsworth who put forward the following Early Day motion:

“This house notes that Companies House has written to the directors of Coventry City Football Club (Holdings) Ltd warning them that they may face criminal proceedings if their overdue accounts are not filed; that in the accounts for year ending May 31, 2011 of CCFC Ltd, the company now in administration, 108 players, football staff and employees were registered; that the joint administrator Mr Appleton has been asked to check whether these accounts were signed off as correct by the company auditors BDO and claims he has been unable to get an answer, believes that the issue of when and how assets assigned to CCFC Ltd were transferred elsewhere goes to the heart of whether there has been a conspiracy to defraud and calls upon BDO to say whether they have been asked this question, if so when and whether they have provided an answer and whether indeed they signed off the accounts; calls upon the club’s directors to give a full explanation of when and how those assets were moved; and calls upon them to file the long overdue company accounts 2012 for CCFC (Holdings) without further delay.

Companies House have also been looking to take Sky Blue Sports & Leisure, the vehicle SISU used to buy Coventry City in 2007 off its register of companies.

What is the source of them being warned or is it still going by the MP's comments?

He'd be battered.

Yesterday there was the Fisher Sandwich joke, now this...I have to be able to work the South Park "I like fish-sticks" "you're a gay fish" joke in here somehow (say it out loud..if you don't get it, you might be Kanye West ).

Oh god. Lads, can't get excited.

Fisher is fireproof. He will wangle his way out of this.

If he has the football league and the administrator in his pocket, he's probably got some dirt on the government too.

A constituent asked his MP to ask questions of CH. CH replied by letter explaining what was said in that quote.

I know this because I've seen the letter. What was said is accurate.

Was that what you referred to the other day??

Wonder if this is going to break or just wishful thinking and if it did what difference will it make, after all Fisher and Laborvich aren't even sisu employees, I think Seppalla would just wash her hands of them and throw them to the wolves

Any legal action would be against whoever signed off the accounts if guess. Which I believe is Fisher so yet Seppala wouldn't be touched.

She could be if proven to be a shadow director. i.e. not officially a director but making decisions & exercising control like a director.

Maybe that is why nobody from SISU are willing to sign off any long overdue accounts.

surely that means if no accounts have been signed off there is no way the administrator could have all the information on CCFC to make a full and informed decision on who should be the prefered bidder for the club ????? :thinking about:

What if one is a SISU investor/creditor?
