Of course not, but do your friends live at sixfields? And if not aren't you going to nortampton specifically to watch the match? Also the contention that standing on the hill is p'#sng off TF - have you heard if this is true or not? I certainly haven't - although I am not in the loop with sisu so only get the evidence of my own eyes.
Whilst of course you could be protesting against sisu by standing on the hill, but the statement from the trust made it absolutely clear they are trying to build bridges with sisu. Now this might be for noble reasons, however to make such a dramatic about turn without consulting their own membership is reminiscent of the unions of the 70's and 80's (no coincidence then that a former councillor is chairmen!).
It will be interesting to see how many "protest" on the hill when it's dark and cold and wet and if the team aren't doing so well whether or not the "protests" are so well supported. Is it a coincidence that when the team are having the best form for a long time, and there is a vantage point that for the price of the petrol to get there you can watch with a large portion of the pitch? I suspect had the team been doing badly crowds on the hill and in the stadium itself would be considerably lower.
The televised game v Sheff U. Is going to be an interesting event.
It will be impossible for the cameras to avoid highlighting the various groups, the differing opinions and the controversies behind all this. Without question this will be 'the story' with national coverage.
The football will be purely incidental.
without question the wider footballing world don't give a shit, and why would they when most of Coventry doesn't give a shit. No one cares a jot and if you think they do you are fooling yourselfThe televised game v Sheff U. Is going to be an interesting event.

Last week on ssn there was a mention of people in the hill and everybody is acting like that is the savior.
Unless it is something big to get on prime time news or national papers nobody cares, so sheff utd has to be big. Men standing on a hill won't do that!
Any chance of any ideas Nick? It depresses me that you're a moderator. This lazy attitude towards ousting SISU is pathetic.
What do you have in mind? Chemical weapon attack on sisu hq?

Enlighten us please Grendel on how you would steer the revolution?
Boycott all games home and away and avoid Northampton on match days. Refuse to attend any other Ricoh events and discourage others to do so.

Just Grendel trying to pick another fight. Why away games?
Just Grendel trying to pick another fight.
Ok - very clear.
Each in turn in order.
So you back the NOPM campaign?
You advocate not supporting the team away- is that because you feel it hypocritical? or another?
Avoid Northampton- Some feel the need to protest with a visual demonstration- why do you not agree with that?
Attending Ricoh events lines ACL coffers and so you wish to apply a NOMP style campaign to ACL also. Do you see the "blame" at 50/50?
I see long before sisu arrived that the model set up was commercial suicide from the outset.
Interesting for the last two years I have stated the club has the word deal from the council than any other club. Why that angers no one on here baffles me but its clearly true as no I e has ever come back with another club that has been more disadvantaged.
My view is the council are 100% responsible as they created a model of destruction. They have made significant profit fro the ground and revenue through the management company.
Worst deal and I believe the only council built ground where the club has not had any share in the management company.
The real disturbing thing is that there are a considerable amount here who will defend the council and the management company.
Very disturbing indeed.

Can you quantify that statement please, as far as I'm aware..
1) Council's are not profit taking bodies.
2) ACL have never paid any dividends, all profits have so far been reinvested in the Arena.
3) CCC are still owed approx. £14M by ACL, which is being paid back with interest.
The Arena as I see it is collateral against which I imagine that debt is secured.
Hello Grendel! All this should have been dealt with by Sisu on the day of purchase. Why was it not?
There is and always has been an option for the half share. Why has it not been taken up by SISU?
The rent was also not disputed for a long time until it suddenly wasnt paid.
100%? I'm not going to take that one seriously.
That is not what I said and you know it. I said that they should have dealt with these issues on day 1. But they did not. WHY?So you'd rather we moved to Northampton 5 years ago - why?
As usual the resident council troll comes sniffing when his beloved brethren are criticised.
I been asking the question for two years name one - just one - club that had a worse deal from the council in terms of rental arrangement and share of commercial ventures. So name one.
You can answer one question surely. How much interest are ACL paying on the loan?
Are you talking about the original rent or the 400K offer? Man City pay around £3m I think, West Ham £2m, Peterborough were paying £500K but that's been dropped to £300K whilst building work is carried out, Walsall pay £360K. They're the only ones I happen to know. The problem with asking a question like that is your average supporter is going to have no idea which clubs are renting their grounds let alone what they're paying for them. If SISU don't want to pay rent why don't they make an offer, at market value, to buy the stadium?I been asking the question for two years name one - just one - club that had a worse deal from the council in terms of rental arrangement and share of commercial ventures. that information isn't publically available is it although it has been stated that it's now at a lower interest rate than previously under Yorkshire Bank. You can answer one question surely. How much interest are ACL paying on the loan?
I don't agree with Tim Fisher's cockiness when saying that people will all come back by the 3rd game (What was the actual quote?) or the customer service / PR that has been shown throughout but after all it is about a football club and when people care more about attendances / protests / massaging egos about how big a fan they are more than the result at the end of each game then it is shocking.
I think "some" just like the protest / outrage / hard done by bandwagon.
