Fisher: Most will be back by the third home game (10 Viewers)

You tell me, you want sisu out? Is the only end game then giving in and moving back? I very much doubt that..

They have got a business plan and it will not include the fans.Normally supporters cannot change the plans a company has for their club, but we can. They have costed for 3000 to 7000 supporters going to northampton and as that figure is out SISU will have to put in cash every month. If SISU are forced back then they will do a deal to sell up. If they send the club bust some one will come in and take it over and we will be rid of SISU. Any fan who thinks SISU were good for ccfc ,I ask you where are man city and southampton who SISU tried to take over and where are we.

At the moment the score matters more.
But if it goes on much longer I don't believe ether will matter because people will just give up altogether the fans lost forever.

What are you on about? I am asking if the attendance is more important than the score? I am also saying it is shocking that he said something like that and just shows extreme arrogance.

Very simple scenario here, the fewer that go to Sixfields the quicker we'll be back in Coventry. Go and you are helping to prolong the Northampton stay.

Agree, but people need to refrain from going inside the ground and standing on the hill. If even the Trust can't resist standing on there (admitting simply going to see the team) then there's no chance, is there?

Having trawled through the pages I'd like to make a couple of points:

1) the OP is in no way a celebration of the attendance on its own - where's the logic in that? The attendance reflects the resolve of our supporters in not letting their want to watch football stand in the way of their principles.

Of course, another big reason for the attendance will be that a lot of people can't afford to travel to Northampton on a regular basis even if they wanted to.

The point is though, that the attendances are a long way off Fisher's predicted 3,000.

2) I don't understand the dislike of the Jimmy's Hill protestors. What's the problem?

They're not giving the club money and are grabbing media attention at the same time. They should be commended. If the issue is the money they are spending to get there then I can only assume that the same people criticising them disagree with the London protestors too?!

Ginetta, I'd go along with what you say. I can't understand the criticism of the people on Jimmy's Hill either. I haven't done it myself but am seriously thinking of it. It is simply showing solidarity. I'd imagine it is partly a frustrating experience being there.
My take is - the fewer CCFC fans inside Sixfields the quicker we'll be back in Coventry on sea. Money talks in Fisher's world. It's his language. Behind all his cockiness he won't like these pitiful crowds one bit.
I'm just sad that those who go to Sixfields didn't see the bigger picture. I had hoped for an empty Sixfields against Bristol.
What a statement.
Happily most CCFC fans stayed away.
There will be some sub one thousand games this season. There possibly already has in reality.

I'll be on the hill against Sheff Utd - with it being televised myself and my brother are trying to get as many people there as we can.

You're completely right about them being closed minded to everything but money. Their selfish actions have well and truly proven that.

@ covmark.....Does it matter if it's "Doughnut" "Prick" "Nobhead" "Muppet" or whatever? It's the principal.....Don't come all "Grammar Police" on one poster if other posters are guilty of the same thing!

Yes that's right, I'm going all the way to Northampton but not paying the entrance fee because I "can't stay away".

Well that's the objective of the campaign. Not about protest but watching the game -,as for grabbing media attention - about what - the fact some people are so desperate for their fix they still need to watch the game.

It basically plays into fishers hands. If he is ever asked by the media about converns about ever moving back he can point to the hillers and say the only reason they are here is because they believe that sisu will return to Coventry.

So the idea of the campaign is not to deprive SISU of income but to punish ourselves? Clutching at straws again?

Not much of a game to watch with that great big stand in front of you and only one goal in view.
Probably get the atmosphere but very frustrating I would have thought.
But then again that's not the point of your post is it?

You continue to mock the people who are trying to keep the protests going in the face of SISU intransience.
Better to have tried and failed than to not have tried at all.

Will you do something to help the situation or are you happy with it ?

So you think you will be more bothered about the attendance than the result on the pitch? Genius!!!!

The attendance will have a direct effect on the future of out club. Two factors can make a return to the Ricoh more likely in my opinion...good performances on the pitch, and the fans resolve to stay away from Northampton. Look at the bigger picture.

But it's not about protest, that is the whole point. Michael admitted as much the other day. A coach load of fans are going tomorrow to stand on the hill, but it's "not about protesting".

People like myself (that's many, many thousands) have given up watching totally as our protest against the move. And, at least in my case, vilified as a SISU lover/puppet/rent boy, etc etc. And despite the Keep Cov In Cov stuff, what do members of our supporters group do? Standupforthecity mentions the word "resolve". Don't see much of that from The Trust.

The idea of the campaign was to BOYCOTT GAMES IN NORTHAMPTON. Not make the rules up to suit yourselves. With so many differing opinions and ideas - no thanks to the Trust - then we are divided like never before.

I haven't read what you're taking about but I disagree with it. For me, it is a form of protest as the aim is to grab attention.

As for all this nonsense about people on the other side being vilified, it's already well established that it's happening all over the place. There are people on this thread mocking the hill protestors while also saying that opposing views should be respected!

Of course it is about protesting, you cant see most the pitch.
I would say it is a protest with the added bonus of catching a bit of the match and absorb the atmosphere with fans with similar views. In addition to NOPM.
One thing worse than not watching a match is watching a match when the action disappears from view.
Have you ever sat behind giant haystacks at a match?

Anyway I do need to be 100% on this if I'm going to Sheffield United.

one compelling reason making me want to go is knowing that the more who are on the hill the more timmy will be pissed off.

not because he doesn't want to hear what we have to shout about or see what the banners say, our opinions don't bother him we already know that. what will be pissing him of is he we be looking up at the hill and thinking look at them bastards watching my game and they haven't given shitsu one penny.

its almost worth going just in the knowledge that its pissing timmy off.

Well, you better have a word with Michael from the Trust then. According to him it's not about protesting.

For me one "worse thing" is not seeing the team I support for the first time in 40 years. I think that's a little worse that not being able to see all the pitch when the "action disappears from view".

Nonsense, the point of the boycott is to deprive SISU of our money is it not?

Why would the objective be to punish ourselves?

I'm fairly certain you've said yourself or at least 'liked' other comments saying we should respect others opinions. That is what I was getting at.

OK, so what word would you use for the 9000 of us who don't go at all to Northampton? What are we all doing? Surely we are depriving SISU of their money?

What I want to know is when boycotting the match became not being able to set foot in Northampton? I have friends in Northampton. Can I no longer visit them?

I see them away this season. I'm the same as you on home games as I started going in 1967.

Of course not, but do your friends live at sixfields? And if not aren't you going to nortampton specifically to watch the match? Also the contention that standing on the hill is p'#sng off TF - have you heard if this is true or not? I certainly haven't - although I am not in the loop with sisu so only get the evidence of my own eyes.

Whilst of course you could be protesting against sisu by standing on the hill, but the statement from the trust made it absolutely clear they are trying to build bridges with sisu. Now this might be for noble reasons, however to make such a dramatic about turn without consulting their own membership is reminiscent of the unions of the 70's and 80's (no coincidence then that a former councillor is chairmen!).

It will be interesting to see how many "protest" on the hill when it's dark and cold and wet and if the team aren't doing so well whether or not the "protests" are so well supported. Is it a coincidence that when the team are having the best form for a long time, and there is a vantage point that for the price of the petrol to get there you can watch with a large portion of the pitch? I suspect had the team been doing badly crowds on the hill and in the stadium itself would be considerably lower.

Do you want a free ticket? Sisu won't get your money then

Well seeing as that is my objective then, yes, I would attend if I wasn't giving them my money.

There are others who may argue that even being seen in the stadium isn't good right now. They could be right.

Tbf i was under the impression that NOPM and KCIC campaigns aims were to

1) give not one penny more to ccfc

2) to show sisu that we won't travel to Northampton to watch a 'home' game - we will only watch cov in cov
