With the future of many lower league clubs in such chaos and fan based groups calling for changes to fit and proper test do you think we will ever see a yearly or bi yearly audit on owners to confirm whether they should be allowed to continue as the guardians of the golden share. Something like an mot based on investment / crowd numbers and performance over a set period? maybe just a pipe dream / brain fart but something needs to happen and only the FL can do it.

I think they would look at the club, check the lack of income into the club and state 'SISU are doing fine with the resources they have'. Sadly on the face of it they are legally compliant so wouldn't come under that much scrutiny. I think there would be more of a focus on clubs spending beyond their means (no danger for us)

Good idea but I doubt they would want the hassle, especially if an owner would threaten legal action and all the controversy that could tarnish the beautiful game. We've seen - not only with our club - they are fully able to be flexible with the rules to suit. They only seem bothered if a club can fulfill its fixtures. Should a club go bump, there would more often be someone waiting in the wings to take over and have a go (after taking a points hit). Even if a club was liquidated, there would be extra places down the ladder made available to keep the numbers right.

So no, keep the gravy train running and the out of touch farts driving it will be quite happy.

The FL like many of the organisations that are over seeing our sports are incompetent. Certain individuals are drawing big salaries and courting their own egos.

Although most of us would like to see the back of SISU the Football League probably believe the individuals concerned pass the fit and proper persons test. Let's face it. they haven't actually tried to burn the stadium down like Ken Richardson (the former owner of Doncaster Rovers) and they haven't been convicted of money laundering like Carson Yeung.

Unfortunately, being rubbish at running a football club doesn't mean you aren't a fit and proper person to do so.

surely though based on the massively falling attendances, regular relagations the alarm bells should ring with them that things are not right....that we until recent didnt know who are owners actually are or who the investors could be.
We know they wont as purses are lined and self interest looked after, plus law suits would swiftly follow but (and not just for our club) acrss the lower leagues the world of football is going to hell in a hand cart

The root cause of the problems in our Football is Sky T/V and the money that is ploughed into the Premier league.
If it was distributed evenly throughout the league's all would be well.

I see now they are also about to destroy Golf.

The FL is probably subject to all the EU rules now so would be handcuffed in what they can do. They are all about tradition and not changing anything they don't have to. How long did it take them to even consider goal-line technology? I'm not sure they even care about L1, L2 or the conference.

That would involve the FL growing some and providing some rules/regulations that they stick to, that do not have the words " at the discretion of " after every other line of those regulations

Sorry but I have no faith whatsoever in that ever happening
