they cut the wage budget pre season and are aiming to run break even. Which just shows, when you do that as part of a wider strategy you can still succeed.

I was at Fleetwood earlier in the season and we were the better team but lacked ...you guessed it a goal scorer! They were poor but did defend bravely and determined. Scored against us on counters because we were so stupid. But look what they have gone on to achieve? It was a day when I saw a completely past it Tudgay, who has gone on to play regular for us, and it demonstrates for me that the overall difference that makes a side succeed and confidence rise is by having someone who can put the ball in the back of the net on occasion! When we lost Adam Armstrong we never found a replacement and we are where we are for this singularity alone.

Last September?
We were dire that day, another terrible performance. Lacked any creativity, desire and looked flat. Fleetwood created the better chances, caught us on the counter a few times and disposed of us easily 2-0.
As per the story of the season when we went behind to a soft goal which RCC should of stopped we never looked like coming back. Offered nothing in the final 3rd.

When we were appointing Tony Mowbray, Uwe Rosler was without a job at the time. I had hoped we would appoint him, based on what he did for Brentford.
I wonder was he on our radar at that time.
Seems a good guy, named his sons after two Man City legends, Colin and Tony!.

Just a little thought...Presley was here when TM came in we went to the top of the league albeit the next season and Presley was also at Fleetwood too now this season they are near the top...coincidence or is he better than we thought?

Make no mistake it seems every manager we have had since Gordon Strachan are awful.
The people running the club have been the real issue all the way through.
There was a short window of hope where the idea was develop young talent and buy young talent. The Southampton model. They had the sense and balls to stick with it and today their company pays fir itself. We didn't and then have had a succession of idiots making the decisions from the top.

Our view is very much tainted merely by his time here at the Ricoh.

The few games I went to Sixfields were the most entertain games I have ever seen as a City fan.

...its true when we had Wilson and Frank Moussa we were playing and scoring for fun at one point at Sixfields and very entertaining, but once again we let our best players leave we fell off the wagon again....sound familiar? I do think Presley was terrible though because he couldn't cope with the job and his policy of the so called 'bomb squad' was an utter disaster.
Not forgetting Clarke and Baker!
A siege mentality too.
I personally think they shat on him in January just like so many others.
The approach has been schizophrenic from season to season.
Hindsight shows they should have stuck it out with him as the end result has become the same.

Said to my mate at the Bury game that Pressley would be doing better with the current squad. The problems he had to contend with were awful, no fit strikers, remember having to put Jordan Clarke up front!
