Flying (2 Viewers)

Don't think twice now really. I actually met a bloke on a flight a few months ago that was absolutely petrified. He sat down and told me straight away, so I just started talking with him. I asked him exactly the same question as you and he said something like; 'No, never. This world is too beautiful to see and not get out there'. The attitude of that guy was absolutely spot on (even though he was drinking a lot).

If you ever ask yourself the question just get on the plane and you'll never regret doing it. Just book somewhere nice!
I didn’t fly until I was 18 because we couldn’t afford it. It terrified me for the first 10 years or so but now I fly more or less every month and don’t really think twice about it. There are too many places to miss out on by not doing it.

Can't say I enjoy flying, especially the airport experience, but there are too many places i want to see that I can't get to otherwise. Haven't had any real dramas but internal flights in China and Indonesia were a bit of an experience, especially seeing how frightened the cabin staff looked.

Feel bad about the environmental impact too so do try to travel by train instead where possible. Do have a long hall flight coming up though.

I don't 'enjoy' flying per se - Just like I don't enjoy driving up the M1 (Statistically I know which one I am more likely to die doing)

It is however a necessity if you want to get anywhere of any note outside the country without it being a ballache, a necessity in life
