That's not what I said though. I said one or two more permanent if we cant free up more wages. We still have people like Mason, Hilsner and Jobello that aren't even in the plans. We will also add to the development squad and add some quality loans. That's not nobody and we already have a few through the door, one signed in January and JJ who will hopefully be like a new signing too. We had terrible luck with long term injuries too last year and those players also now available. I'm confident of mid-table.

It’s not a rumour though, Rob was giving an opinion. Robins is astute enough to have budgeted for defensive reinforcements

Yea but Rob the problem is people hang onto people's words .
I know all sorts of people who deal with people at the club , down to shitty things like Servicing their cars ... yet I can't get any credible information off anybody about signings etc
Yet we have atleast 20 on here who practically work at Ryton by the sounds of it and you're the latest one .

Hardly the latest one. In 10,000 odd posts I've never posted a rumour of anyone coming. All I've said here is dont expect loads of signings unless some go out. It is what I've been told as has any other small snippets I've ever posted that have been factual, but like Chinese whispers it is barely more than an opinion and practically what Robins has himself said on many previous occasions.

Neither really. All i said was my understanding which is only based on what someone else said and not DB or MR but equally I've not suggested anything other than dont get too excited expecting lots of incomings. People practically suggesting we need someone in all positions. We dont need them and cant afford them, nothing that ground breaking either way.

It’s just separating the rumours from the opinion that was the issue here. Went from budget is tight (rumour) to we don’t need any defenders (opinion) that caused the confusion.
I welcome all our in the know overlords and am capable of deciding which ones are worth listening to (not that guy with the Arsenal loanee rumour for example)

I’m sure Rob has some knowledge within the club but better days and Russell seem to know more.Going to be a long old season.
A back line of a L1 keeper who has barely played since the referendum, a kid who got nowhere near our first team last season, two players unproven since injury, Fadz but a year older and Hyam who looked out of his depth for large chunks of last season. With backup being a kid who hasn’t played above L2, Pask and Dacosta for five positions.
But hey, at least we’ve signed backup strikers and AMs who refuse to turn up to team meetings.
Can’t believe we wouldn’t make at least 4 more permanent signings. CB, LB are two places where that’s necessary
