Sadly this is the only direct quote from the League “We are in an ongoing dialogue with the club regarding its plans to return to Coventry and will be seeking an update in accordance with the membership agreement.”

This is not worthy of making a headline, try harder Telegraph.

Have the FL not sussed out that there is no new stadium plan? 'Optibum' will spin this & watch the FL turn over & have their tummy tickled.

WHAT A LOAD OF FUCKING BULLSHIT!

This show that FL is not a sisu puppet as suggested. They are just as much open to arguments and pressure from 'the other side'.

In my opinion it's all about the JR.

Sisu will show all their 'plans and preparations' for a new stadium and argue they are well and truly on track.
I wouldn't be the least surprised if the liquidation of limited and holdings is finalized in the next week or two and ACL is repaid according to the agreement sisu have with FL.

Will be interesting to see if they have enough ammunition to stall the FL till after the JR.

The Football League finally being shown up for what it is. When will they ever stop with their rabidly anti SISU rhetoric and begin to see the bigger picture ? More divisive nonsense.

Didn't they listen to ML on CWR? FL it's full steam ahead, we have wonderful supportive owners, Otium have told us. You do realise Otium aren't the owners don't you FL?

surely the jr is just another small step. It assumes there will be a definite decision for one side or the other and that both sides accept the decision. Likelihood is that the "loser" will appeal and things will continue to drag on.

Well the FA at last are beginning to talk the talk. Although we are a long way from them walking the walk.

Pity its taken far too long, and it still appears like rhetoric.

Lets now see if their actions will speak louder than their words. I suspect I will be massively disappointed.

This could (and I only say could) be the push that this whole charade needed. Sisu were happy to bluff along until after the JR but with the season ending before that and the FL needing answers then Sisu have to start to do something. Even seeing plans would not do it for me because they are meaningless without identifying land to build it on. Maybe this was a clever play by ACL/CCC saying to delay the JR because they know that Sisu are all wind and piss and no real substance and with the FL saying that none of the stipulations they gave to Sisu being met, they will need to do something real for a change. As the FL now have all the player registrations and other mishaps out in the open and old news, Sisu have no real hold over them and the FL can and SHOULD show some bollocks and start to push Sisu into a corner.

Secretary: Timmy (that's what she calls him), the Football League are on the phone again.
Tim: Er, OK. Tell them I'm on the other line
Secretary: Sorry, to keep you waiting. I've just tried and he's on the other line. Can I get him to call you back?
FL: He's "been on the other line" for seven months
Secretary. Sorry, about that. I'm sure he'll definitely ring you this time.
FL: This is not good enough you know. We'll give him another three years to get back to us or else we'll be blimmin' cross. You tell him that.
Secretary: OK, will do. Twat.
FL: I heard that.
Secretary: Sorry.
FL: Don't forget. Blimmin' cross.

Rod Liddle in yesterdays Express mentioned CCFC very briefly in his article on dodgy owners. He largely confined it to the Premier League, but mentioned us in the same sentence as Leeds and Portsmouth. (I read the paper in a café, would never buy it.)
People at the FA/FL read these things, every little helps.
Far as can be seen NOTHING has happened with new ground. FL know this. Sisu haven't paid what they owe to ACL or Higgs? I'd imagine FL are getting nervous. They need to get a lot more nervous.

Speaking of paying what they owe, why did the FL not insist on them paying the £1M bond?

I do really hope as you have put, this is the push this charade needs.
The FL really do need to show balls and get more than just the word of mouth they have relied on thus far. I totally agree they need to start pushing SISU into a corner for the answers they need.

But the big question is What can be done if sisu/otium/arvo don't provide evidence of how, when or where the ground will be built

The FL has the option to withdraw the golden share and thus eject the current club from the league. The fixtures for the new season would then be prepared after adjustments to fill the vacant slot in League One (additional promotion, reprieve from relegation?). CCFC would be given a window to re apply for league membership but in a lower league.
As I stated on previous threads I don't think that the FL will have the bottle: they will be most keen to accept SISU's assurances.

That would be after the letter of complaint from the FL.

To which the FL would probably reply .........

With regard to the money due to SISU why is it that it can't be paid until the old Ltd company has been liquidated? I thought it was a condition the FL place on Otium, as part of handing over the Golden Share, that they paid it. Given that Otium is not the company being liquidated what is causing the delay?

To me the interesting bit of the article is the FL asking the club about their plans to "return to Coventry" - not the "Coventry area". If a return to the City is what the League expects after sanctioning the ground share, what will happen when the club announces a site nine miles away?

We need to be on the FL when they do this so the views of the fans are clear.

What are our views? Would we want the GS removed if no evidence is forthcoming?

That was another cop out by the FL, they didn't get the dosh up front. All they have is a requirement to pay it,
I think everyone knows that in reality SISU will never pay it, they will pull the plug or dump the problem on someone else before that.
