Im confused. Was he sold because we didn't rate him..........or was it because we just needed the money?

Certainly not for the pathetic sum we got! Idiots.

The lad loves Coventry and was very happy - not the greedy type to kick up a fuss. It's like the Conor Thomas loan to Liverpool only worse.

Neither - he was always highly-rated here, and sold for a pittance.

Funny how there's £millions available when it comes to getting SISU's greedy mitts on the Ricoh, yet as soon as bids come in for our better youngsters (Bigirimana, Thomas) it's a different story.

Sold him too soon SISU - chances are he would have been worth a lot more if you had just had a bit more faith ... your loss... our loss

I am sorry but a premiership club the size of Newcastle has come in for a youth player who would be playing in Division 3.

What do you do? Keep a player who is unhappy or has the chance to play in Europe and the Premiership or play for a team in a relegation fight in Division 3?

This has nothing to do with Fisher or Waggott.

The big boys came knocking

We weren't in a relegation fight when we sold him, we were looking to bounce straight back up - the kid was loyal I reckon

My main point is that it would be difficult for any player to not be interested in going to a club like Newcastle when you play in a lower division.

But we did sell him! Lets move on now.

No!
Let's keep hanging on to the past.
Let's keep digging up old news and present it in new bottles.
Let's stick to negativity.
Let's stay losers.

Sometimes it's good to work these things through your system though! I am interested to hear views on why he was sold. I just assumed it was because he wanted to push his career on. Still, like your post very much :)

I liked it too...in fact to coin a phrase (or in this case chant) "Same old Skyblues - always losers" would spring to mind if anyone paid much attention to some posts on here - though sadly in recent yrs we do lose more than we win.

Everything would have been different if we hadn't sold Robert Rosario to Forest.....:facepalm::facepalm:

said this when he was sold and everyone said he was shit and wouldn't get into the first team for years. all other league 1 clubs get £4m+ for their good youngsters.

P.S I can honestly tell you he gives more of a shit about this club than most the current players do

I was interested in the following line from the article:
(Bigi) said: "I have learned that by working hard, you get your rewards. I have seen all the top players at the club, in training it's always as if their life depends on it."

I just think it is sad that he had to move to Newcastle to learn, in his words, the value of hard work and to see players training as if their life depended on it. We may not have the money to buy the stars Newcastle has, but that shouldn't stop the players we do have from "training as if their life depended on it".

(For clarity, I'm not slating Bigi, but suggesting his words maybe say something about the mentality currently around CCFC.)

So suddenly we are al privy to confidential contract discussions and details. We do not know what the club got for Bigi fact. We might have £4m and that is what is funding our season For all we know.

Well done to the kid and there is no loyalty in modern football. If he comes good Newcastle will sell him on and he will be thankful that he was given the opportunity by Newcastle and so it oes on!

When he moved he said himself that it was too much of a chance to turn down. We needed the money. Newcastle wanted the player.

Everyone but the fans of our club were happy. He was not forced out. He chose to go.

But did we get the best possible compensation for him leaving? Leeds United paid £2.6m for a promising teenager from the second tier... in 1996!
If Bigi was sold for the rumoured £1m, then I'd suggest we didn't get the best possible deal for him.

Why do we keep dredging up the same old news. For the last time Bigi wanted to go and we got market value. If he'd have stayed another year languishing at the bottom of league 1 his value would have gone down rather than up so he defo made the right move.

Yet more IF's.

IF the rumour was right and IF we only got 1m for him then we might have got more if we waited. IF we took the money too quick did we need it urgently?

IF SISU got more than 1m would they have told us so?

People get slated on here for talking about FACTS when they are often IFs. In the absence of FACTS we are reduced to talking about IFs. Given the shortage of FACTS surrounding this club, this board would be a lot quieter IF we couldn't talk about IFs! :)

If we win this division and then if we win the championship next season we could then win the Prem the season after if we uncover some jems

doesnt make a jot of difference, if he was still here now, he would be dross like the rest of them and we would have some on here saying he should be in the 1st team

good luck to him, westwood, fox, dann, gunnar, craine, keogh, best, king et al

clearly we have had decent players, but just cant seem to get a team playing together

That first sentence is what I was trying to say.

I like the woohoo smiley. Hopefully you'll be able to break it out again this season IF we win some games! :D
