For the Frank haters (3 Viewers)

"His fitness isn't that great either". He's a professional footballer. That says it all.

Do grown men actually use the word 'haters'?

If you are happy with League 1 football he is the answer. Fair play if you like him that much and feel the need to defend him. It doesn't seem to have much to do with football ability though.

Example of the modern day footballer; happy to pick up a wage but reluctant to put a shift in.

Inconsistency must be his middle name! Never know anyone turn it on and off more than a hot tap like he does!

Don't think he warrants a new contract.

Ruben Reid from Plymouth could be the man to fire us out of this division always seems to work hard better option than nouble me thinks

Doesn't get in enough goal scoring positions for me, so will never score enough goals

Nail on head. And having one good 10-15 minutes every 7-8 games is not good enough if we have any ambitions of getting out this league, getting promotion requires a good team and team ethic, no place for a player like Nouble.

Hmm let me put it to you Lamptey as they will be on similar salaries currently if you had to pick one
would it be Samuels or Nouble......?? Think I know who most would go to and there are plenty of other harder working
potential Samuels out there.

Unless Nouble halves his salary he rightly will be let go and do not think he will get a very good club either!

Was waiting for someone to come back with a really funny comment about the thread title.....

'If you are happy with League 1 football he is the answer' eh? not sure what you are on about here, of course I am not happy with league one football.

I am from 2 days ago when we were 1 goal away from going down with about 10 mins to go. Give me a couple of weeks and I will agree with you though :)

I think we can find a more effective player for Nouble's salary than himself.

He's really neither here nor there as an attacker - he's got all the raw material to make a good target man out of himself, but is too pre-occupied fannying about on the wing. Opposition have learnt not to dive in and stand him up and as a result he's looked much less effective since signing his 6 month deal.

I do like Frank and I think at some point in his career if the penny drops under the right stewardship he could do well for himself, I'd just rather spent the money on an ugly bruiser of a central midfielder who'll be more effective in League One.

So many games that he were't interested, outweigh the ones he were.

At home vs

Crewe
Leyton Orient
Nott's County
Doncaster

So many more.

Worth a rolling contract that's it.

Successful teams in this division do not carry players in the hope they might just provide something. More often than not he has provided very little. Yes flair players are important but they have to contribute much more than the odd flash of skill

Too inconsistent and not a real/regular goal threat either in providing or taking

For me its adios Frank

Presleys team ethos was pressing and work ethic so why did he bring in so many lazy fookers?
Look at Chile in the world cup they worked their balls off for each other admittedly they had a tad more skill than our misfits but we need winners at our club, even the most thickest fan/boo merchant can see if someones giving 100%. I think this is all we ask well apart from a winning team

Then your post makes no sense whatsoever. He simply isn't good enough if we have any aspirations to get out of this division.

Perfectly put, OSB.

This league cannot support prima donnas. We need a team of 11 guys playing and looking out for each other. We will not succeed if only 6/7 are playing at their potential and the rest are just putting in time. There's been a few of those this season and ends up with a dis-jointed, slow, lacking adventure, easy sideways or back pass, never finding space, low tempo game. SP was happy to tolerate and defend this type of performance, I hope TM or AN Other will not put up with this crap.

As the squad stands at the moment Nouble gives us little but the odd flash of class, but with better players around him, Tony Mowbray and a pre-season he could be an asset, it's in his locker certainly. Is he a free agent in the summer or would it have to be a loan or transfer, a lot may depend on that. His performance against Crewe was diabolical but then that could be said of the whole team that day.

Agree with this post, he does have class but it's just the consistency lacking and with other players, when they have an off day you might see a lot of running/battling to try and make up for a poor performance. I thought he was unpalyable away to Fleetwood and under TM, who appears to rate him by some of his comments, he may get more from him in the wider role he often occupies.

Successful teams this is league, (teams that go up) are always made up of players, 'who were at bigger clubs', 'didn't make it', 'showed potential' or plucked from lower league obscurity. Paddy Madden the year Yeovil went up is a good example. I think he can do it, last season was the most settled he has been with a club for ages...

agreed successful teams are but that isn't the point I made. Its not about where any player came from its what he brings to our team. I don't think he brings enough, yes there are flashes but few and far between. In the end it will come down to can the money we pay him be better used and more effective paid to him or another player. Right now I do not think he has done enough to be kept. He might prove me wrong, hope he does but on what I have seen he is a hit and miss luxury we cannot afford given size of squad, the budget and the other needs in playing staff. Our opinions differ and I have no problem with that, but I bare the guy no animosity and certainly do not hate him

agree, when I used the word haters I hoped people realise it was for those fans who dislike him as a player.... I get point you are making, what I am saying is players suddenly come good in this league, I think he is one who could do that massively next year.

If we played him down the middle then yes for sure, as a bit of affection and played down the middle and belief installed in him he would be a monster, and work on his finishing, played on the left wing, then no complete waste of talent when played OUT OF POSITION LIKE MOST OF THE SEASON!

For him to do that wouldn't he need the right attitude?

We played him down the middle the last 14-15 games of the season, he just naturally drifts out wide. He just isn't a goalscorer.

Bottom line is, do we want to move forwards or sideways?

If it's forwards then it's bye bye Frank and Webster and Barton and Martin and Thomas and Jackson etc. etc.

6 in 20 something isn't it for us.... look, yeah he should have scored more, majority of fans like him, near the box you are expecting something to happen.

most games down flanks thus restricting opportunities in more favourable positions further forward.

He has potential to be a quality player in league one. On his day he can be a treat and would play week in week out. He's far too inconsistent along with others that's my issue with him. I would keep him as a squad player definitely at this level but we need to try add a 20+ a season player nouble isn't that man.

Maybe if he's stays up front he might add more goals to his game I'm not a fan of putting strikers out wide which we love to do at ccfc. Get some pacey wingers in and nouble would get a lot more goals

But as I've said earlier he's been playing up front in a two for the last 15-16 games (JOB left mid, Ward, Fleck, Barton right mid), and he's still spent most of his time outwide and rarely looks like scoring. He's just not a goalscorer. I don't even know what kind of striker he is, he's not a target man, he's not a poacher, he's not a number 10, he's not a fox in the box. It's as if he thinks and wants to be Thierry Henry.

But he ends up playing like Lenny Henry.
