We got what we deserved, nothing, lacked conviction and one or two players seemed to give the impression the season was indeed over for us. But we must finish strong, not throw on all the kids. A decent playmaker and a leader in the midfield area. Hamer looking forward to his summer holiday. Rose is not good enough I fear. JCS has been missed. Godden a big miss. Times up for a few of them now, the likes of Waghorn, Shipley, Walker. Lets hop it's enough to fund a couple of decent signings along with good season ticket sales. Lets be honest, it's been a really good season and I will expect to go one step further next year.

Won 1 in 8 would suspect it’s been relegation form post Xmas even though we’ve out played some teams and never really been outplayed.
Either way would take this season it feels like it’s been positive in the main and progress from last season.
Slightly worried on how we finish opposed to last season as felt we had more to give the last 6 games but feels like we are fading out game by game this time.
In some way I feel like we needs a re - build around 2 or 3 players not sure we can make the next step with these players as most of them are as good as they are gonna get which isn’t good enough.

I'm more confident when we're basically set up well and look good against the top sides in the division then I would be if we were thud and blunder, with a lummox fluking a goal now and again.

Same result though.
I'm starting to find hoping to fluke a goal less frustrating that having 15 attempts on target and not scoring

I don't agree, I think the first 70 was because we were so poor in their box. Viks lame attempt, O'Hares chip over the bar, Allen's shot
I'm really pissed off tonight.
I think maybe because I don't see it improving next season.
Poor in the box, yes... but oh so familiar... OK in lead up and fairly solid apart from a couple of abominations from Rose... two poor goals, against run of play in both halves.
Fine margins... as usual....and not going our side of the fine line....
On 70 mins if we were 1-0, 2-0 up, it wouldn't have been beyond the realms of possibility.... but we conceded two poor goals.... game over, especially with quality brought on from bench...

we looked like a newly promoted team against an experienced team - we are regressing

Finishing with our highest points total in the championship since we got relegated from the premiership, and faught our way back on a paper thin budget is not regression, its a remarkable story so far.

Surely we have them now, being a mid table championship side?

We do, how many are injured, tired, or off form though? We’re bringing on people not even at L1 standard because we’ve got no one else.

Agreed, in that if you can play your way through teams - which our side can - you only need the final bit to click and you have a very good team. having a Rotherham type brute force is a) ugly to watch and b)no more successful. Our style if it doesn't work gets accused of being 'soft' and lacking bottle etc, but I'd happily sit through this season again next (but, as in life, nothing is guaranteed)

How many teams could get deductions next season, enough to make us safe before we kick a ball.
Big summer ahead.

Don't agree - we are higher than all of the newly promoted teams (comfortably)
We're a fairly decent side that play some really good football at times .

I doubt there are many sides that look forward to playing us .. forest radio complementary said we made it very very difficult

I just think it shows the gulf in class between a solid top 6 team and a mid table team. The gap between mid table and bottom 3 isn't a big

We are a solid mid- table championship team at the moment and without serious investment or a fluke we will remain in that position

Presume you're suggesting we need 7/8 championship players to keep us in the championship?

No?

I want to see us progress. I don’t think we’re a L1 club who should be happy to be here.

And we're still mid table.

we are mid table due to the first 12 games you are deluded if you think this is now a mid table team

Fair enough. I'd say we'd need that and a whole heap of luck to even get into the playoffs. The amount of money the relegated teams throw at it, makes us small fry.
