Former City player in demand

Former Coventry City striker Leon Best, who left Coventry City on the last day of the January 2010 transfer window for Newcastle United is being chased by Nottingham Forest.

The 24 year old striker has not found favour with The Toon Army and has struggled to get into the Newcastle team, but former manager Chris Hughton was an admirer of Best and stood by him. With the sacking of Hughton and the appointment of Alan Pardew, Best's days at St James' Park look numbered.Burnley, Swansea and Crystal Palace are keen to take the striker, but only on loan, whereas Nottingham Forest want a permanent deal.
