100% spider. Never heard Cattlin referred to as anything else, Peter Bonneti was known as the cat

It is correct that Chris Cattlin was always known as 'Spider' to the fans. I still have my Spider T-shirt somewhere, although I very much doubt that it still fits.

In fairness to the CCFPA, I remember that he also had the nickname 'Cat' to the rest of the playing squad back in the day. As far as I'm aware, they never called him Spider.

He was always known as the spider......never heard him called the cat. We used to chant "spider" at him and usually got a wave back from him. One of my favourite players.

Wasn't there a 70's Chelsea keeper nicknamed The Cat?

Not as big a blunder as lining up Andy Blair (against whom I have nothing) as the guest of honour and thus co-commentator on CWR on Saturday. With the best will in the world he was going to find it hard to be what we need from the summariser.

Too often it feels to me that Clive wants the opposition to score against City. On Saturday the co-comm has his son playing for the opposition.

I don’t want local radio commentary to be objective. Clive Eakin is actually the best option at CWR but his pet peeves abt “foul throws, mascots, time wasting etc are tiresome. I think he attempts to be objective when the rest of local BBC radio markets itself in being partial. Usually the objective Clive can be balanced by an ex player supporting us from the sidelines but on Saturday we had a bloke trying to say nice things abt his former employer while hoping (naturally) that his son would destroy us.

Andy Blair aside from the bias tried too hard to use clichés. If he had a bet on about how many he would say he would have won.

He had no idea about our players and should have been on the radio for Doncaster.
