Was sacking Robins that dumb?Despite what some people are saying..
We don’t have to be okay with the sacking of Robins.
We don’t have to agree with the new appointment.
But we do need to get behind whoever the new head coach is for the sake of the team.
As fuckingdumb the sacking of Robins was, we have no choice but to wish him well and move on.
It was but then I was at a party last night where somebody who knows someone itk said it was rubbish and gave reasons, can't remember what it was though as I was pissedWas your Lampard post yesterday actually something you’d heard?

I think he timed it as he did precisely because it might have turned around. Was sacking Robins that dumb?
The fan base would not tolerate our form over the last 30 odd games and 8 home losses in 12 from any other manager but Robins. I hold the somewhat contradictory view that a) I wouldn’t tolerate this form from another manager and b) I trusted and believed Robins would turn it around.
The timing was just strange because we looked like we were potentially going to turn things around. The Derby result was concerning though.
Yup. He couldn't risk us winning today under Mark Robins, because then the decision would look rather ridiculous.I think he timed it as he did precisely because it might have turned around.
Likewise not sanctioning appointments or free transfers.Yup. He couldn't risk us winning today under Mark Robins, because then the decision would look rather ridiculous.

Edwards wouldn't appeal to me based purely on his hoofball tactics with Luton
How did he try to get Watford to play?
Also another plus is the role of crossing in the team. We know we aren’t too shabby at crosses this year, with goals in our last five games coming from crosses.
“It’s no coincidence that with this style of play, Chelsea ended up topping the league charts for crosses into the penalty area per 90 in Lampard’s first season in charge, averaging 2.84 per 90.”
How does that compare with the best in the league?
I disagree - this is character assassination of King. His first act at the club was to extend MR & AV’s contract and to give them a lot of money to spend.I think he timed it as he did precisely because it might have turned around.
Just had a look actually, most accurate crosses in the league at 45 albeit from a significant number of attempts I should thinkHow does that compare with the best in the league?
What are you prattling on aboutI think he timed it as he did precisely because it might have turned around.
The first act and most recent act make him seem quite impulsive, not a great traitI disagree - this is character assassination of King. His first act at the club was to extend MR & AV’s contract and to give them a lot of money to spend.
There’s a lot going on at the club clearly if our ‘ITKs’ are getting info that players have checked out and the ‘vibe’ isn’t the same from the L1 early Championship days. In addition, MR has fallen out with plenty of players in the past, AV was reportedly an unpopular figure so it’s possible MR had lost the dressing room - or it’s a split camp and neither is a good place to be.
Our form this year has been awful and the loss against Derby was concerning. As great as MR was for us, maybe it was going stale.
What are you prattling on about
Why would he sack the manager if he thought things were turning around?
I suspect Luton was Robins' last chance, obviously he got the win there and at Boro. But another shambolic performance and loss against a poor side was the nail in the coffin, and once King no longer believed MR was the man for the job then there's only one result.
Planning what? I'm sure he's been looking at the team's form and considering options, not sure what grand conspiracy he is supposed to have been masterminding though.I’m pretty sure DK has been planning this for a while.
I think this is the case also. Obviously there is a desire to match the head coach style system that successful prem clubs use. I don’t think he really cared whether Mark fitted in with that or not it’s the way he wants this club to go.I’m pretty sure DK has been planning this for a while.

Weird thing is - Rooney’s ideas are fine. I read something that at Birmingham he tried to push a full passing game. But the players weren’t able to play this game.
what Eustace managed to do was recognise the players limitations and work around them.
Rooney obviously didn’t compromise his principles, and ultimately it cost him the job, I’d imagine it’s the same at Plymouth.
Fuck me your still goingLampard is a useless c**t. Great player, shite manager.
Anyone welcoming this appointment is,a fucking balloon.
Fuck me your still going
I think the bad reaction is partly down to him being the exact person people who thought Doug was clueless thought he would pick.
Celebrating sons birthday with some green labelNot long in from the game. You?

Bookmark it baby because I know I'm right. Bring it on, I won't shy away. He is living off his name and is a sorry excuse for a manager.
It's not because I won't let the Robins sacking go. Lampard is everything what we don't need.
