I remember Stern John making a foul and our own crowd chanting "off, off, off."Said many times but the reaction to him getting sent off against Burnley was the most hostile I have ever seen a CCFC crowd towards one of our own players.
Yet they loved the far worse Andy Morrell just because he ran around a lot (usually chasing down a ball he'd lostI remember Stern John making a foul and our own crowd chanting "off, off, off."
Worst thing is John was actually a good player but a good moment of realisation that i'm cool with having a different opinion to the majority of our fanbase.
Can you tell your source to tell king to get it done alreadyBored now
The fanbase sure does love a headless chicken or a 'character'.Yet they loved the far worse Andy Morrell just because he ran around a lot (usually chasing down a ball he'd lost)
I bumped into him pissed up in Leamington eating a kebab.I did actually see Kevin Kyle in the bookies over the road from that Spoons, he was spending a fucking fortune.
Oh yeah, remember that. Hostile is the word.Said many times but the reaction to him getting sent off against Burnley was the most hostile I have ever seen a CCFC crowd towards one of our own players.

Sean Flynn was my favourite headless chicken. Though it was top league tbfThe fanbase sure does love a headless chicken or a 'character'.
Not me!Who had the kebab?
What's the latest on the situation?Bored now
If we'd have started this season in that form we'd be a point off the top 2 currentlyStop re-writing history, our form from November through to the end of February was P20, W10 , D6 , L4 = 1.9ppg which is solidly play off form if not borderline automatic procurement.
Edit, adding in March it was P24, W13, D10, L5 = 2.01 ppg which is automatic promotion form. That's half a season's worth of games not just 3 months, 5 months.
Had we spent £45m by that point?
Kitching: £4m
Thomas £2m
MvE £3.5m
Sakamoto £1.5m
Wright £7.7m
Simms £3.5m
£24m ish
Fair comment, but it doesn’t excuse that level of abuse. It didn't help that he turned down a move to Wolves and returned back from his loan there as he admitted he would rather sit in the bomb squad and take more money
I always thought we didn't use Morrell to his strengths. We insisted on playing him down the right wing which to be honest was a waste, he hadn't got outstanding pace or really a trick to get the ball into the box, but the few times we played him up front he was extremely effective as a strikerYet they loved the far worse Andy Morrell just because he ran around a lot (usually chasing down a ball he'd lost)
He had a great ability to jump from what I remember. But it does bring back memories of some other awful players from around that period. I give you Julian DarbySean Flynn was my favourite headless chicken. Though it was top league tbf
it's done by a fella who gives off massive incel vibes, always going on about cucks and shit like that
I remember being in west terrace for this game (think also vs Burnley) and never felt so embarrassed of our fanbase. Truly a self destructive lot at times aren’t weI remember Stern John making a foul and our own crowd chanting "off, off, off."

Do you often end up pissed up and bumpimg into people in Leamington?I bumped into him pissed up in Leamington eating a kebab.
Yep, which is why i worry slightly for a new manager if many hold on to their preconceived ideas. History tells me they do and its less than helpful.I remember being in west terrace for this game (think also vs Burnley) and never felt so embarrassed of our fanbase. our bad form didnt start on february 17thThe post you quoted I said that either side of the winter period was bad so you're just pretty much agreeing with what I said.
A year ago today, we were 20th in the table.
After 17th Feb we W4, L8, D1
Unfortunately, it continued into this season.
Of course, you're a good judge of a player.i liked stern john tbh
Said many times but the reaction to him getting sent off against Burnley was the most hostile I have ever seen a CCFC crowd towards one of our own players.
It's completely different to facing the media and giving an interview immediately after a 90 minute rollercoaster.Like most interviews - football managers don't get doorstepped you clown
If we'd have started this season in that form we'd be a point off the top 2 currently

But why such a specific date ? After that specific date we won 4 from the next 7 but ofcourse then you're left with losing 5 from the last 6 which coincided with the cup run and the small squad and that doesn't suitI've just shown you our form from mid February. We lost 8 games.

If we had accumulated the same points as the corresponding fixtures last year, we would be top. Missing out on an incredible 17 points. If we'd have started this season in that form we'd be a point off the top 2 currently

Then won 4 from the following 5 ?Because before that date we'd lost one game since the first week of December. After that date we lost the next two league games.
Then won 4 from the following 5 ?
After the 17th Feb we lost 3-0 at home to Preston and 2-1 away at West Brom. Two very poor performances.
Yes but then we won 4 from 5 so the bad form had hardly started at Feb 17th had itAfter the 17th Feb we lost 3-0 at home to Preston and 2-1 away at West Brom. Two very poor performances.
Edit: sorry, I re-read it again. I thought you were talking about after the Stoke game.
